Hi, everyone. I came from the TTGP board to ask a question; I hope you don't mind. I apologize in advance if my question has been asked already. I couldn't find it.
I received a BFP last night at 11 dpo with some very diluted urine. It was on a Dollar Tree (VeriQuick) test. I followed up with a FRER test, which showed a line that was much more faint. This morning at 12 dpo I tested with another FRER pink dye and a digital. The line on the FRER was so faint I could barely see it, and may have been an evap line. The digital was negative. I tested again with two more Dollar Tree tests (both available brands), and again got similar results to last night's (two clear positives).
I'm feeling confused. My question is, shouldn't I be seeing a darker line this morning, given that I used FMU? Why are the Dollar Tree tests showing a darker line, when I'm pretty sure they are the same sensitivity as FRER? I'm questioning now whether I am in fact pregnant or just experiencing a CP and will get my period tomorrow or the next day as expected (I have been having cramps on and off). I know the only way to be sure is to wait and keep testing every day or every other day, but I'm feeling incredibly anxious and unable to wait, which is why I'm hoping you ladies might have some information based on experience that will help me make sense of this. Thank you in advance.
ETA: Also, does anyone have experience with the Dollar Tree VeriQuick or New Choice brands? I'm wondering if these are known for false positives or bad batches. Google didn't come up with much.

Re: Faint positives followed by negatives?
A line doesn't have to increasingly get darker. It all depends on how much dye is in the test itself. That said, I know how it is to feel so unsure. Test again in another day or two. I hope you can get some answers soon. Hugs.
Fx for you for a healthy baby!
ETA more detail.
Moral of the story: there's nothing you can do to save a chemical pregnancy. If you are really freaked out call your doctor and tell them your concerns. Your hCG levels should double every 48 hours. If you have to test at home, doing it daily won't show you much difference; testing every other day or every two days will, unless the tests have different amounts of dye. It's really not an accurate way to tell what's going on ( says the serial tester that needed to take her own advice).
Good luck, and I hope this pregnancy progresses normally for you!
My Chart
I never got dark lines on wondfo cheapies, even at 21dpo. I did get a dark FRER line at 14dpo. I'm 16 weeks pregnant now. The darkness of a line doesn't necessarily mean a loss.
