26 Weeks and Small Clot?

I'm 26 weeks with twins. It's 3:30 a.m. and I'm trying to not panic. About once a week for a few weeks now I seem to have 1 day where I'll have pink when I wipe, maybe tiny flecks of red. Each time I've had an ultrasound around the time and they'll assure me my cervix looks great, high and tight. About 20 minutes ago I had some pink and when I wiped again I had a small red clot/streak. I really don't want to go to the hospital (not my idea of a good time to drag my husband and 3 year old there in the middle of the night), but I'm stressing. Anyone experienced this? I even took it fairly easy today (we move internationally in a couple weeks)!

    I can only give you my experience and it was when I started bleeding and passing clots that I was experiencing labor. The blood could be the start of your mucus plug. It could be nothing because some women bleed/spot their entire pregnancy. What does your OB say about it?

    Could you go to the hospital by yourself? The day that I went into labor and had my twins, I drove myself to the hospital (gushing blood and all) because there wasn't anyway I was waking up and dragging a 4 year old to the hospital at 4am.

    I haven't spoken to my OB about it because it literally happens once, then everytime I use the restroom after it's normal as can be. I'm military, moving overseas in a couple weeks, so will be talking to them about it my last appointment with this OB group later this week.

    I don't think I've had any contractions or anything, so I'm trying not to worry. But I also want to avoid preterm labor.

    If it were me, I would call the office in the morning and let them know. Things can change pretty quick.

    I've been admitted at the hospital while they try and determine if I'm in preterm labor. Nothing major. Was dilated a fingertip, then went to 1 cm and 10% effacement. Itty bitty contractions that are barely registering on the monitors. *sigh*

    Best wishes. I hope they are able to stop the contractions.
