Saturday- How is it going?

I missed most of the fun Friday threads yesterday. I was at a meeting for work all day.

Seriously! The topic during the first TWO hours was about emails. How to organize/task/schedule instead of having an inbox.

The next hour long presentation was fine. I like her and her style for presenting.

After that, we had lunch prepared by some culinary arts magnet students. "Oh, you need to practice? I get free lunch? Ok!" It was pork tenderloins, veggies, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and fresh baked rolls. It felt like Thanksgiving after my Smoothie diet this week.

After lunch, we had a round table with our boss. I kept offering up ideas. This was met by my boss saying "add that to the list- flyoffeve is going to do x." Now I have three items added to my to do list for Monday. Why can't I...

That's ok. It is Saturday! I went for a run this morning, got laundry going, and went to the grocery store.

Now, I am basically done with my second rum and coke. It is going to be a great day!

Mine is lazy. My legs are so sore from a workout yesterday. I thought a bit of cycling would loosen them up, but nope
I started bcp today for our ivf cycle and I'm dreading potential side effects. I never did well on bcp
Later we're headed out for some bbq with friends :-)

Not much going on here.  Probably going to do some bike training in a little bit.
I really need to start going through things so we can rearrange our living room.  It was supposed to happen during the week, but time kind of slipped by.
I want to get rid of so much stuff in the house.  Too much clutter.  Too many things we don't use and don't need anymore.
So I guess that's my weekend!

HALP! I think I broke my bump account. I changed my username on the knot, and it seemed to disconnect my knot and bump accounts. The username here didn't change, and it gave me this lame crib avatar. Now I can get it to show my new name under "my account", and it shows my real avatar there, but when I click message board from the my account screen it says "whoops! user not found!"

I am trying to get motivated to clean the house. 

 

I went to the grocery store then passed out in my chair. 

 I have started my dogs haircut (he hates it and it takes me 2 days to finish because he is impatient and I let my 20 lb dog bully me). 

But I have really just moved to the couch.

@rubysi I feel the same way as that pic about housework. Also, somewhat related, my mom likes to remind me that when I was a kid, I would come back in from playing and she would tell me to go take a bath. My response was "why I am just going to get dirty again."

Starting slow finishing off this bottle of red wine from last night. It's a Korean karaoke place, so I'm not sure what they'll have song-wise (makes it very hard to plan for!). My co-worker picked it because they have private rooms, so you're not singing in public. I have a really good team at work, so it should be fun.

The only time I'm good at karaoke is when I am shit faced. And I only "think" I am good.

The last time I did it the group I was with took the beer labels off all the beer bottles we drank (there was a lot of them) and stuck them all over me before I went on stage... Face and all.

So glad they were all too drunk to take pics or video.

Hi ladies! Just catching up. Mh and I just got back a bit ago from a day of snowboarding. I'm now happily warm, showered and have a rather large glass of Baileys in hand. Might need more alcohol to ignore the pain my body will be in. Snowboarding at 34 is not the same as at 17

I love all the gifs! DH and I are his parents' house this weekend. (FYI they are awesome!) DH's older brother brought his tattoo stuff over earlier today and touched up our tattoos (so far we both only have one each with plans for more). And there will be drinking later. :-)

my saturday, a gif story!:

so, like, my hair is blue, you guys. you've seen my avatar. i'm referred to as the peacock at work!

but, the thing about blue hair, it doesn't last. it turns gray, actually, and it hurts my self esteem.

and even worse, my hair gal quit her gig at the salon, leaving me high and dry. I have minimal hair and she gave me a great deal, so i knew finding a great replacement would be hard. FUCK!

but then i remembered i have a BFF who has her license and can dye and cut my hair under the table for cheap! i purchased the dye and brought it to her pad tonight with high hopes.

...and she did a great job trimming me up and applying the dye, but put me in charge of washing it out in her tub myself. i turned that shit into a lisa frank inspired masterpiece after rinsing. thank god for sympathetic girlfriends, amirite?

but i also got the dye all over my face, and that was NOT gonna come off right away. which was just terrible news, since i had plan to purchase some pregnancy tests on my way back home so i could obsessively POAS until AF came later this week. i can't seem to hop off the crazy train this cycle.

so i trudged in and headed straight for the PG tests, hoping to check out where they're located- at the pharmacy- to make a swift and easy escape without being seen much. of course, that was too much to ask, as the test i needed was locked in a box requiring opening by a separate device operated by the employee. as the employee struggled with the case, i recounted my blue face debacle in embarrassment, begging her to please get it open quickly. i didn't want to have to deal with any more people than necessary... but the damn thing wouldn't budge, so she directed me to the opposite end of the store. i sulked to the manager who, naturally, unlocked the test on the first shot without so much looking up.... until i thanked him, when an unfortunate period of eye contact was made, blue face and all.

so i kicked my saturday night off with a good amount of shame for way-too-early-pg-testing (i'm only 10dpo tomorrow!) peppered with SOMANYPEOPLE seeing my wack face (WHAT THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE DOING GROCERY SHOPPING ON SATURDAY NIGHT? STOP LOOKING AT ME!). if you need me, i'll be drinking myself flush so the color won't matter until tomorrow, when i can scrub with wild abandon and return to the faboosh peacock i was meant to be. here's to hoping my swag can return...

My Saturday has been uneventful:

Work from 7am-3pm (that sucked)

Took photos of a friends grandmothers surprise party (that sucked too, but I had two cupcakes and wiiiiiinnnneee!!)

Now I am being a 26 year old 6 year old and watching Monsters, Inc. on my couch with my ninja turtle footie pajamas and a milkshake.

Best part? Having the house to myself as MH is helping his you get sister move!

Not so great.   I fell up the basement stairs earlier and crushed my right arm.  My wrist to shoulder are killing me.   They look slightly bruised and I'm hoping I don't wake up tomorrow totally black and blue.   I did manage to save the cheese I was carrying in my left arm though...glad I sacrificed myself for the cheese.   Then DH's football lost so, not a great night here.
