Infertility

Moving onto IVF (intro)

Hi ladies,
I've been lurking here for about a year (since doing an intro on 3T). My main home has been on TTCAL, as I've experienced 4 losses. After my 4th loss (2 years ago), I stopped getting pregnant. I've been to just about every clinic in my area and all RPL and IF testing has provided zero explanation for our struggles.
After our 5th failed IUI, and after being at the same RE practice for almost 3 years, DH and I decided to seek one final opinion before investing in IVF (all OOP).
That appt was last Wednesday. We didn't love the Dr (there are 2 others, though) but we did love the facility and one of the nurses.
So, we're moving forward. I started bcp today, trial transfer is this coming Wed, various IVF discussions/inject class scheduled throughout the month, tentative ER the week of Feb 22.
That's all dependent on our discussion/asking for help financially tomorrow with the ILs.
That's my story in a nut shell. I'm an open book if anyone has questions.
I'm mostly always on mobile, but try to be as active as possible.
Mind if I hang out here for awhile?

4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

5 IUIs = BFN

All AL are welcome

  • Hi. Sorry to hear of your stuggles.  I'm am going through my fist IVF cycle right now as well.  Recently had my ER and found out what is the cause of our infertility.  That's a nice thing about IVF is that they go into each follicle and can look at the eggs.  Good luck and welcome!
    Married: Aug 2013
    TTC since Aug 2013
    Charting since Feb 2013
First doctor: Jan 2014 - May 2014: diagnosed with PCOS, progesterone pills, Femara & progesterone shots
Second doctor: May 2014 - present: retested & dye test (told I am fine, but hubby has problem)
100mg Clomid = too many follicles = no IUI, cysts from last cycle = no IUI
four IUIs (last one cuz they wouldn't let me do IVF yet)
     IVF #1

I'm wondering if we'll "see"anything different through IVF, as I know it can be somewhat diagnostic (once finally getting to that point)
What cause did they find, @browncoatjr‌ ?

Hi! I think we used to be at the same clinic. How are you liking the other one (Magee, I assume)? We're still at Jones with Hecht and we just started our IVF cycle.

@lemonliz‌ , yes, I was at west penn for quite awhile. I miss Margie very much.
We're at RHS now. Ive also been to Magee in 2012. I wasnt all that impressed, honestly. But, I never cycled with them
