Late Term and Child Loss

Total AW moment

Please allow me this little moment of being a total AW - tonight we celebrated my dad's retirement and his company threw him a retirement party. After many speeches and presentations, my dad got up to say a few words. He started out by thanking all of us, and then said something to each member of our family. And he included Colton!! He said how he wished his grandson Colton could be there, but that we all loved and missed him. In front of a room full of people - his peers and co-workers, our family and extended family - and it just made my heart sing! Many people in that same situation would not have said anything, but I was so touched and so proud that he did. He matters and I love that my parents, my family, get that.

Okay, thank you for listening and allowing me this moment of sharing! I know you ladies understand. :)
