hi all! I'm a first time mommy looking for advise/support on bf and relaxation.
My baby will be 6weeks on Sunday. From the very beginning we had issues with BF. I have flat nipples and baby had issues latching. I used the shield provided to me at the hospital, but that proved to be difficult. Baby latched at times, but was frustrated and kept knocking it off and Hinestly, I don't think I was producing much to keep him satisfied. I eventually broke down and gave my little one some formula at the hospital. Needless to say that was very hard for me to do; my heart was set on bf exclusively.
After we got home, we kept trying to bf unsuccessfully. I once again broke down and we purchased formula. My baby was crying, hungry and frustrated. I was devastated and did a fair share of crying myself.
I didn't give up on bf, but baby just was not having it. Formula was instant and nursing was not. With constant visitors, and all the issues we had been experiencing bf eventually stopped.
Now that he's almost 6weeks, I'd really like to go back to bf. My milk supply I'm guessing has dried out no didn't pump and he didn't nurse since we stopped.
I'm researching relaxation and building my milk supply up and want to know if any mommy's out there had similar experiences, have any tips/guidance on getting stared agin.
I have ordered my pump and that should be delivered in the next few days, I also have ordered Medela soft shells for flat/inverted nipples , and my lactation consultant recommend I try mothers love more milk plus supplement to help stimulate milk productive n. I know the road ahead of me will not be easy and will take some time, but I think the end result will be well worth it I can successfully BF my baby boy.
Any advise would be appreciated
Thank you!
Re: Relactation...support/advise?!

Hoping for about the same with this baby.
