Pregnant after 35

Varicose veins!

So last night my leg was feeling achy. I went to look at the side of it and about hit the floor! Oh my the side and back of my leg looks like a ninety year old! I wanted to cry! Lol! I guess I should feel lucky that this is baby #4 and that this is the first time I have had them. But I don't. Lol! I still have around 3 months to go and now I am just afraid it will get worse! So does anyone else have them? Do they get better after the baby comes?

Re: Varicose veins!

  • Varicose veins runs in my family. I've had laser procedures and injections done twice on both legs over the years. Mine hurt more than anything but now I'm getting those ugly blue spider veins. I was so bummed especially after I had them taken care of :( I look black n blue on my one leg...sigh.

I'm sorry @BeckyP005 :( If these don't go away or get better I will be looking in to procedures. I also have what I guess is 2 nice size clusters of spider veins. That was what I first noticed. At first I thought is was a bruise. They are like 2-3 inches across. Ugh! Yep, my right leg is a mess. My left still looks good.

  • I got some with my last pregnancy and they haven't disappeared but they did fade a little over the past year so they really don't look terrible. I guess I'll probably get more with this pregnancy but I was pretty much prepared to expect some as I got older anyway since my mom has them pretty bad.
