I feel like everyone is doing them, so I just wanted to start a conversation here about them. Have you ever done one? Love it or Hate it? Think the whole idea is crap?
I've done juice cleanses to start a diet off (I do better when I see a lot of weight loss, it makes me want to keep going) it's hard. At least for me it was
So what I do is make smoothies for breakfast and dinner and just juice in between. I do it for 3-5 days. I feel awesome after. Tons of nutrients and all the water weight gone.
But yeah, be at home the first few days bc you'll be in the bathroom a LOT. But I still highly recommend then. I think it's a good way to clean your system out
I'd love to try it to reset the system. Im BFing though so I would assume it is not recommended. My sis sent me a green smoothie diet where you supplement with nutrient rich smoothies. I might try that in addition to food. I just feel sluggish from lots of bad eating.
As far as I know you shouldn't do them while BF which I still am as well but have been looking at cleanses like the Blue Print company for when I am done.
Ugh, everyone I know is doing a juice cleanse! I'm not a fan. I'm an everything in moderation type person and I don't get a jump start from something like that. I'm trying to eat healthier, but by making small changes. DH has done them a couple of times (like before his cholesterol test for life insurance because he has more of an all or nothing personality.

Ok the above are just some internet articles but I have also researched some major nutrition r blogs. I used to do juice cleanses a lot. It helps mentally- yes 100%. But it is not any magical change in your body. In fact it may be doing more harm than good especially if you are doing fruity juices.
Do it to mentally ready yourself to eat healthy, do it for shorter days and have a long term goal rather than doing it 3 days and going back to eating like before.
