Is anyone taking Zantac?

My OB said I could take Zantac or Pepcid if needed. I never asked what dose and I have DH's Zantac in the house...

Is anyone taking it and what dose/frequency?

Lurking.....

I took Zantac 75 once a day.....in the beginning. By the end of pregnancy I was on 40mg of Prilosec (you can't take Prilosec until your second trimester) at night and 150 of Zantac in the morning. And throw a handful of tums in there lol.

I just take Zantac 75 when needed.

I take Pepcid and take 40 mg 2 x a day. I also take Aciphex

For Zantac you can take up to 150 at a time. So 150 2x a day is fine.

My OB prescribed Ranitidine (zantac). I take 150 mg twice a day (morning/night) and eat two Tums before each meal or when I have a GERD flare up, and she said to also take one Tums after I eat. HTH!

I did tums 3x a day, prilosec 20mg and zantac 75mg before bed.  Also changed my eating habits, ate dinner really early and stayed up really late before going to bed.

I take Zantac 75 once a day.  Usually right after lunch and that holds me over until bedtime.  Then I take 2-3 tums before getting into bed.

I take 150mg of Zantac every night and I think I might add in 75 in the am. My Dr. said that was fine. Good luck with the heartburn!

Thanks everyone! I am taking 150 every morning, and *fingers crossed* I have had almost no heartburn at all since I started!
