Raspberry leaf tea

when did you start using it? And did you drink the tea or use the tablets?

Re: Raspberry leaf tea

  • You may want to change your name.
  • How do I do that? I use the app not the computer
  • Loading the player...
  • If your question is geared towards inducing labor, this will not go over well on this board. Just an FYI.

    And change your name.

  • No it's not. Raspberry leaf tea isn't meant to induce labor. It's only meant to help tone uterine muscles to help make contractions more effective during labor. And I'm trying to figure out how to do that now. Or how to delete the post.
  • No computer to use. I have an iPad though and still can't figure it out.
  • I believe you have to go to the knot to change it. But I could be wrong.
  • I changed it on the knot but it hasn't changed on the post. How the heck do I delete the post?
  • woo! Got it! Thanks ladies.
  • I drink two cups of raspberry leaf tea a day, have been for several months. My doctor said it can't hurt, a midwife friend said definitely drink it.
  • My midwife group suggests drinking it every day to help strengthen the uterus (NOT to induce labor, which it won't). I bought loose leaf tea and make a big pitcher of it to drink throughout the week. I drink it iced and like the taste! Not sure how much it helps, but I don't think it hurts to try either.

  • I started drinking it in 2nd trimester. I've been lazy and haven't drank it at all in about a month. But I was just drinking one cup a day.

Pregnancy #5 Positive test 12/11/2019 Due Date 8/17/2020

  • I have been drinking it since I hit 3rd tri. One of my favorite morning drinks is a raspberry tea from Market spice tea so I was very happy to be able to drink it again. The added bonus it may help with contractions when the time comes? Awesome.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • Now I need to go buy some raspberry leaf tea! I want a strong uterus! Adding to the grocery list now...

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to be snarky, however, it's on my "do not use" list from my doctor, because of the possibility of promoting labor. To each their own, but I'm not taking chances.

I drank it around 35 weeks and later with DS.... I liked the taste.

Not sure if it helped tone my ute though.

I am not comfortable with this new user name... too close to mine ;)

I thought it was you! @bhjones1980 and I thought to myself, this doesn't seem like a post she would write so I had to investigate.

  • My midwife is one of the "I don't see a problem with it" people.  I have two cups a day, one in the morning and one in evening.
  • I just bought some. My Dr said having 1-3 cups a day isn't a problem. I'm not a big fan of the taste though. I have to add some cream or sugar to be able to drink it

  • Our birthing instructor, who is also a doula recommended drinking 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea per day in your third trimester (starting 28 weeks).  She said to start with one or two cups and work your way up to 4 cups.  From what I read about it, it does not induce labor.

  • Aren't Braxton Hicks supposed to tone your uterus? Those bad boys are enough for me.
