No it's not. Raspberry leaf tea isn't meant to induce labor. It's only meant to help tone uterine muscles to help make contractions more effective during labor. And I'm trying to figure out how to do that now. Or how to delete the post.
My midwife group suggests drinking it every day to help strengthen the uterus (NOT to induce labor, which it won't). I bought loose leaf tea and make a big pitcher of it to drink throughout the week. I drink it iced and like the taste! Not sure how much it helps, but I don't think it hurts to try either.
I started drinking it in 2nd trimester. I've been lazy and haven't drank it at all in about a month. But I was just drinking one cup a day.

I have been drinking it since I hit 3rd tri. One of my favorite morning drinks is a raspberry tea from Market spice tea so I was very happy to be able to drink it again. The added bonus it may help with contractions when the time comes? Awesome.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be snarky, however, it's on my "do not use" list from my doctor, because of the possibility of promoting labor. To each their own, but I'm not taking chances.

From any decent data I can find, I see that raspberry leaf tea is considered "LIKELY" safe in normal low-risk pregnancies.
Anyone high risk for any reason or who has had any complications or is multiple gestation should discuss with a provider.
The rest of you drinking gallons of tea everyday I think honestly you're just making expensive urine but you are so well hydrated so that's a good thing.

I just bought some. My Dr said having 1-3 cups a day isn't a problem. I'm not a big fan of the taste though. I have to add some cream or sugar to be able to drink it
Our birthing instructor, who is also a doula recommended drinking 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea per day in your third trimester (starting 28 weeks). She said to start with one or two cups and work your way up to 4 cups. From what I read about it, it does not induce labor.
