Iui process question

I have my post op/consult Monday. Last I heard from my RE he said they will be starting me on a prescription and then insemination (most likely). So my question is this. If AF comes tomorrow (I had the tiniest of spotting this morning) that would make Monday cd 5. Is that too late to start medication for super ovulation for this cycle? Should I consider myself benched for another cycle if AF does come tomorrow? I know I'm getting ahead of myself since I don't even know 100% that that's what we are doing. But it is hard not to obsess. I'll also add that my RE has not wasted any time on anything to date. As long as there is no risk it has been one step after another pretty quickly so far. This is a quick post and run since I'm at work but it's been on my mind all day. Thanks girls

 Unexplained Infertility - impatiently awaiting the next steps
 TTC since 3/2012
 TTCAL & TTTC 
MC 11/12/13 - 2 D&C's - CP 9/15/14 - myomectomy's, fibroids removed 11/4/14 & 12/30/14. Bloodwork - normal. SA - normal. Tubes - no blockages. Cycles & O - both normal. Currently benched waiting for AF after 2 rounds of Lupron to thicken lining.Jan 12th- Jan 13th consult with RE. First IUI plan in place (with clomid and trigger) to start as soon as AF resumes. Waiting on AF….pat-ient-ly…?

    Typical start date is CD3. Our RE let me start CD4 once, but they didn't think CD5 would work for me (although it does for some).

    Sounds like your office might be open to giving you a prescription to start this weekend before the consult? Perhaps give them a call and explain you'd like to get started if possible?

    I agree with PP that I would call your RE to ask if AF starts tomorrow. I'm doing my first IUI this cycle and was directed to call on CD1 (regardless of when that fell) as they want me on meds cd3-7. Hope that helped. Good luck with your first IUI!

    I agree. I would call and let them know you started. They may try to squeeze you in earlier. They are in the business of working on a whim & around women's periods so they might bump up your appt. Best wishes, friend

    10/2014-benched due to RE out of town, tying naturally!
    11/2014-benched due to cyst
    12/2014-Femara 5mg + stair step with additional 5 days Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI=BFN
    01/2015-Femara 5mg + Gonal F 25 units + trigger (plus additional Gonal F 100 units on trigger night) + IUI= BFP!!! Twins due 10/2015
    09/28/2015- Surprise!  Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!

    Like others said, I'd call and ask. I have always taken oral meds day 3-7 but I do know that some people do 5-9, so even if he wants to wait to prescribe until your appt you might be okay. Good luck!

    TTC #1 Since July 2013

    Started RE Testing July 2014

    2 HSG tests: Right tube is blocked, possible endo.

    TSH elevated, started Synthroid 25 mg daily.

    October, 2014: Femara 5 mg + TI ---> 3 follies on blocked tube side ---> BFN

    November, 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI#1--2 follies (on the good side), 46 mil. motile sperm=BFN

    Nov-Dec 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI #2 (1 follie, 76 mil. motile sperm) + Endometrin=BFN

    January, 2014: Femara + Ovidrel + IUI #3 (1 follie, 38 mil. motile sperm)=???

    New RE appt. scheduled for 1/14.
