I'm going to c/p what my husband wrote over the last few days because I'm too lazy to do it myself

From Monday:
Little man had a rough day, they had to move his chest tube a little and he is having a hard time bouncing back. They had to up his oxygen quite a bit and he also had a blood transfusion today. He hasn't had his head ultrasound yet but they are hoping to get it done between 11pm and 7am tonight.
Tuesday:
Mighty Max Update! Max had a bad morning. We got a phone call at 8 AM from the NICU that Max's heart rate went down and they had to call a code on him. They had to give him epinephrine and were doing chest compressions for an hour and they got his heart rate back up. We got here around 9:30 am not knowing what to expect when we walked throuhgh the doors after we scrubbed in. His heart rate is back up and his oxygen is better than this morning too. His lungs are still very premature and the doctor said it could go either way. We are not ready to give up and by the look of Max, he isn't going to give up either. They gave us a room near the NICU for the night, so we will be staying close by.
Later Tuesday:
Max is still the same but we finally heard back about the head ultrasound. He has NO brain bleeds! Nothing at all! It doesn't change anything because of his lungs but at least it's one less thing to worry about.
Tuesday night:
We are spending the night here in {hospital name}. The NICU has a room for parents and we are staying in it tonight. The next 3 days are going to be crucial in the prognosis of Max's future. His oxygen levels decrease dramatically when he is touched (bloodwork, suctioning, even his own movements). We take it one hour at a time now for the next three days. The goal is to keep his oxygen in the 80-90% range without dropping too much.
Wednesday/today:
Max had a good night last night! His oxygen is hovering atount 80-85% (aiming for 85-90%) with 96% oxygen on the oscillator (every percentage down is good) that's down 4% from last night! There is no more pneumothorax (YAY!) but his liver is slightly enlarged throwing his billirubin a bit high. He's moving around a bunch today, yesterday he was quite lethargic. It takes Max about a half hour to recover after being touched or moved so they are going to move him as little as possible today.
I can't remember if I shared the pic of his eyes open but I love it so if you already saw it, too bad

Re: Max update 12/7
I look at him and think "Wow, he's so tiny, but so solid!" I can't believe we all have a little person that size right now
I didn't expect him to look so much like a baby. I know that's silly but I was pleasantly surprised the first time I saw him
