Hi, all! I've been creepily lurking this board for awhile; I hope no one minds if I come out to play! This is my first post on this board AND on TB, so pardon any guffaws. I haven't quite mastered the ins and outs of message boards yet, but I've lurked long enough to read the room, so to speak. I'm fascinated by the history and etymology of names; although I have zero knowledge of either, I appreciate the insights of those who do! The depth of knowledge on this board is impressive. 

I have a 10 month old DS, Cha.rles Vin.cent nn Charlie, who brings sheer joy. I'm now a SAHM navigating life with an increasingly mobile and playful baby. So nice to "meet" you all!

@Helenahhandbasket, thank you! I love your daughter's name. Little Women is one of my favorite books and my name is an homage to one of its characters, so I have a particular affinity for Josephine. 

I'm glad, @bromios! I bring almost zero knowledge to the table, but I certainly appreciate the knowledge of others.
