a car seat?  My DH is fighting getting one. I bought him one for his birthday and he said it didn't match the interior of his car so he gave it to my parents.  Now I'm thinking of buying another one that matches but I'm wondering if it's worth it.

yes he has one and no it doesnt match his truck....I'm sorry but I gotta say it and be snarky....your dh is an idiot what does matching your vehicle have to do with safety?

Yes, DH has two carseats in his car for the boys. ?I think it's important, even if DH doesn't drive them very often so that he'd prepared if had to pick them up in an emergency.?

Mine does not but only b/c he never takes the kids in his car, his car is a piece of sh*t that we are driving into the ground.  So he uses it to get to work and back and thats it.  Whoever has the kids takes my car.  My parents also have two carseats in their car so if we are ever stuck we can take their car or carseats (they live next door as well!).

No.  He had a base for the infant seat, but not a convertible.  We just switch the carseat if he needs to take DD.  However, it's on my list of things to talk to MH about tonight.  I think it's time to get a second one.

 Wont argue with him being an idiot.  He is a pain in the arse about this issue.  He just doesn't want a car seat in his nice car.  When he takes DD anywhere he takes my car and we switch, but I would feel better if he had one just in case.

Yep....he has a Marathon and a base for the infant seat.  He picks them up from the sitter sometimes. 

I'm not sure he's getting 3 carseats in the back of his truck though.  We'll see how that goes.

Yes, my DH had both a base for the infant seat, and now, a convertible seat. He has a truck, so he has no room for any other passengers and he still doesn't complain.

lol I would gladly take him on!  Yeah of course you can switch around but what a PITA and like you said what happens if you forget and he really needs a carseat?

He can't fit all the carseats in his car. ?Whoever has the kids takes the family car so we never need carseats in the other car. ?

We switch off drop off/pick-up at daycare, so he has no choice.

He actually has the "better" seat in his car, since it is the "family car".  I drive a Beetle, which I love and refuse to give up, but it is not big enough for more than DD and I to get around in.
