I wanted to introduce myself. We found out we were expecting in August and were so excited to add to our family. We found out in October, we were going to have a little boy. We were very excited to be having a little boy since, we have had 4 girls born recently in the family and we have a beautiful 3 year old daughter.Everything was perfect, the NT scan was great and I was feeling great. We decided to take our daughter to the 16 week appointment so she could see the baby on the ultrasound and that's when we found out his heart had just recently stopped. He was measuring 16 weeks and 1 day. We were devastated and our almost 4 year old was crushed.
I was admitted to the hospital for induction and delivered the next day. We were able to see him and the nurses photographed him. We chose to cremate him. Unfortunately, the placenta would not cooperate and had an critical hemorrhage. I was rushed to surgery when my blood pressure dropped to 55/33. Everything went fine with the D&C. I healed quickly but just now had my first cycle. We are very eager to start trying again. Our daughter wishes daily to be a big sister. Luckily, we have many pregnant friends surrounding us that will keep her occupied until it happens for us. My sister (who we thought would not have children) is expecting, so we are especially excited for her. I do have pains of sadness every now and then; when I compare where I should be in my pregnancy. I have started charting this cycle; which I have never done before.
I'm hoping to find advice from the board and hope it keeps me sane during the TTC process.
