This is a weekly thread for runners who were due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays. All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. We had this thread during pregnancy, now it's time to lose that baby weight.

  • How were your runs and workouts this week? Good. Two strength and two runs. 

    What are your plans for health/fitness this week? Now that I am WFH twice a week I plan to go to the gym on those days during my lunch break to guarantee I get those workouts in. I have two run days planned, and then another two strength days on Friday nights and Saturday mornings before DD's swim class that starts this week!

    GTKY: Favorite healthy snack right now? Mashed avocado with a little diced onion, diced tomato, garlic salt and pepper on wheat toast

  • @frenchchocolate611 Our swim lessons are through the local high school and they had a twice-a-week option as well, but I felt like that was too much - for LO, and for our schedules since they are on weeknights which are already so packed for us. The 2x/week one was also for 12 weeks! That seemed crazy long so we are going Saturday mornings for 8 weeks instead. Let us know how yours go! I am super excited to get DD started, but at the same time I recall her reaction to the ocean not being so great so this could quite possibly be a total bust, haha.

    Good- 3 runs, 1 strength, and a soccer game

    3 runs, 2 strength, 2 soccer games, and a little extra core work

  • How were your runs and workouts this week? 
    i was visiting family last week so runs were sparse. i did manage to run 5 miles in 20 degree weather.  it was rough!  it reminded me why i moved to socal.  props to all you ladies running in cold weather!
    What are your plans for health/fitness this week?
    i am leaving today for a biz trip so pumping might be my only workouts this week lol. i will try to run when i can!  (also freaking out about leaving baby boy for four days....)

  • You ladies rock!  I'm so impressed that you did so well over the holidays!!

    How were your runs and workouts this week? Okish.  We got back from our trip on Wednesday.  I lifted Thursday, did short treadmill Friday, and ran 3 miles Saturday.  Saturday was rough.  After over a week between runs we didn't make our goal, we wanted to do 6.  

    What are your plans for health/fitness this week? Hoping to get my miles back up, running tonight, and 2-3 other times this week.  Our 15k is in a month! We are doing the sugar free thing, day 5 and I feel pretty good!  It sucks, but I guess thats life.

    GTKY: Favorite healthy snack right now?  Banana with Almond Butter!  Soooo yummy!  

    @babygabe614  I'm so jealous that you are able to work from home. I'm not sure I'd get anything done if I did though.

    @lola4411  I would freak out too, good luck!  Will you be able to facetime/skype?
  • @sjdihle yes we will be facetiming whenever i get the free time.  i am worried about confusing him though!  it will be a looooooong four days :(
