***scarletii***

Hi there!  A few months back, I posted a question about VBACs, and I remember you mentioned that you had a VBAC with the midwives at Evergreen's Center for Women's Health in July.  I have my first appt with Sharon Hammond, one of the midwives there, in a couple of weeks (I just found out I'm preg) to talk about the possibility of VBAC.  I thought I'd page you to find out if you might have any general advice for going into this first appointment.  I have been told that some midwives, but especially the OBs, give you a lot of scary info and may try to talk you out of a VBAC.  I'm not so worried about this - I'm doing a lot of research on VBACs and the risks involved, and I get why they have to provide full disclosure.  My husband, on the other hand, has a lot of fear around this issue, and while I'm trying to educate him before this first appointment, I'm a little nervous about his response. :-)  I'm curious if you might be able to give me any general info on what to expect at this first appointment (assuming you can remember how yours went!), and any tips on how to prepare myself and/or DH for it.  Thank you in advance!

(by the way, if you'd rather take this offline, feel free to email me at jilljurenka@hotmail.com).  thanks again!
