lol.
How long does your wash routine usually take?
We have no issues at the moment, but I feel like the whole routine takes forever.
In our HE FL, I prewash with "water plus" and main wash on high soil with extra rinse.
It takes 3 hours 10 min to complete both cycles...
Is this about right? Or is there a better/faster way to do this?
(Obviously clean dipes is the goal... if 3 hours gets the best job done, that's totally fine).

Re: How long is too long?
No idea how long the actual wash times are.
I think my pre-wash, main wash, and extra rinse take just under 1 hour (including me forgetting to add detergent and start the main wash). Dryer takes under an hour.

I was wondering why so many moms wash EOD. An extra load for me each day is NBD, but if that extra load took 3 hours just to wash--forget it! Kudos to you, though, your HE machine is probably much kinder to the environment than my old clunker.

Right now with the cold weather I am using longer cycles to make sure my rinses get warm enough. It takes nearly 4 hours. In the summertime I can get it down to a little over 3 hours. Any shorter and I start to have ammonia issues.
When I visit Seattle it's less than 2 hours in my Duet. I think it's a combination of the cycles that machine has, plus the water is soft so I don't have to do as much.
So about 4 1/2 hours. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a long routine!
