first birthday location :)

i am trying to think of first birthday locations for my little man. it will be a combo of family and friends totaling maybe 50-ish people. my friends have babies or kiddies- youngest being the same age as my son; oldest being 5.5 so i want a place that is entertaining for the kids or hire entertainment (face painter, musician, etc)

my sons bday is May 8th so weather might not permit anything outdoors but I was thinking the turtle back zoo could be fun for all.  does anyone else have any suggestions?  i live in NNJ but do not mind having a party a little more south.  i lived in middlesex co for 6 years so i am familiar with CNJ.  also have family in Toms River and my best friend by AC so I am open to suggestions. 

note- my home is not an option because I do not have adequate space to host that many people.

What about a local park like dunkerhook? There's a zoo there too for the little ones. That could work if you're in the bergen county area - don't know where in north jersey you're located. Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion I live in Nutley so that park is not far.  I do wonder what the weather will be like but I will consider parks.  

I found a few really cute 50's style ice cream parlors but they are probably better party locations for older kiddies.  There is also a place in Little Falls called Snapology- Lego party.  So cute, but again geared towards older kids.
