Hi all, Happy new year! I'm 39 weeks and 2 days waiting to go into labor!

Life is good, pregnancy toward the end is tough, but I know it'll be worth it.  Had a prenatal massage this morning (1 hour for 35 bucks at the student clinic!).  We are just getting the house ready for baby, last minute things, took down our Christmas tree today because I know I don't want to deal with it once baby is here.

Hopefully my sweet baby comes soon, start grad school on Friday.  It would be nice just to spend time with her with no other worries.

As for resolutions, just want to lose baby weight and get back to feeling normal :)

Sending many good thoughts and well wishes to all of you in this new year!!!

    Me:
    30, DH: 32
My hx:  uterus/hormones normal Dx: low AMH 0.5 = poor ovarian reserve
hubby hx: low sperm count, poor motility, started on clomid, retest in May showed no improvement, will be on clomid another 3 months, another retest scheduled for August

    Started IVF #1:  ~BFP Mentioned~
    • ER (Thursday April 17th, 3 precious eggs).
    • April 18th: Received news 2 out of 3 eggs fertilized!
    •  Planned 3dt: Easter day, transferred two 8B embryos and received pictures :)
    • BFP starting 8dp3dt 5/1 Beta #1: 87, 5/3 Beta #2 206
    • 5/19 Heartbeat 123bpm
    • EDD 1/8/15

  • Thanks @katemonster1. I can't believe you're already in 2nd tri! Your fruit and veggie resolution sounds yummy. Almost any veggie is improved through roasting in the oven and many fruits become dessert if they're chopped, dusted with cinnamon (maybe a little honey), and microwaved.

@dp21 GL with impending baby. Normal sounds wonderful :-)

@cls78 C-section is one of the twins complications I'm most afraid of. I'm glad it looks like you can avoid that.

  • Almost 32 weeks, have growth ultrasound on Tues, since most twin moms deliver around 35 weeks, I am getting ready to stop working if I make it to 34 weeks, my Ob won't put me on FMLA unless I start having contractions but I have plenty of vacation time at work. I'm starting to get nervous about water breaking at work, water breaking when I'm home alone, etc. I don't have NY resolutions. My main focus is on making it to 35 weeks and hopefully the girls won't be in NICU, which is our fear.
    Me: 32, DH: 34.
Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).

    Hi lovely ladies,
My first IVF was back in April and it was a BFN (and I am still not pregnant) but many in my group of April Snugglebunnies are going into labour now or very soon ( @dp21 @cls78 @itlavac to name just a few). I just want to wish you best of luck and tell you how happy I am to see that you will hold your babies in your arms very soon. I hope that my miracle will happen soon as well. Best of luck!

  • Hello, all.  I'm posting late, and I'm technically 23w5d today - which I've sometimes seen listed as the age of viability, so, hooray for that!

I experienced PPROM, in which the sac ruptured on one of the twins at 20w1d, but I have been fortunate in that I've had no other signs of early labor, and I've had no signs of infection.  I've also had several scans showing that there is still fluid in both sacs - although the level for baby A was decreased on Friday following another leak, and I was admitted to the hospital on that day.

Since I've been here, things have been mostly stable.  I did wake up to a fresh leak this morning, but I also spoke with my MFM later in the day, and he advised that I should not be too concerned, and should expect this to continue.  The biggest plus of being in the hospital, IMO, is the regular checks I get for the babies' heartbeats, monitoring to confirm there are no contractions, and being so close to help if needed.

I'll have another scan to check fluid levels on Tuesday (I'm drinking water like a fiend, so baby A can pee, and make himself a nice fluid pocket :) ).  And I will start steroid treatments on Wednesday - which should be a really nice boost in helping my babies get ready for their potential early entry.  (But if they want to hang out in my uterus, they should know they are completely welcome to it!!!)

I've gotten lots of supporting messages from the ladies of both PAIF and IF.  I really appreciate all of the well wishing.  I am praying for everyone on IF to find their miracles (though, I hope theirs go a little more smoothly than mine right now).

  • Hi everyone! 33w here. Nothing exciting happening, just chugging along. Sort of getting the house ready for the baby but Christmas got in the way and we're still recovering from that.

I hope 2015 is full of lots and lots of BFPs joining us over on PAIF.

QOTW: No NY resolutions. I just want to keep cooking this baby and deliver it safely.
