Although I have my fingers crossed for a new job and daycare....I'm a SAHM for now and I absolutely love it. However, I am completely running out of things to entertain LO. It's too cold to go out often. She's walking so she hates being contained, ie. stroller, carseat, anything that keeps her from being free to roam. She typically is great playing with toys in the morning but by 3pm we're both going crazy and grumpy because of the monotony. What do you all do to keep yourselves busy and prevent cabin fever during the winter?
We read books,go "swimming" in the tub. We started with some homemade playdough recently and she loves that. I understand your frustration. Just do the best you can mama!
I'll second field trips! Our mall has an indoor playground that LO loves, and he can go look at the puppies in the pet store (even though it makes me sad).
The science and nature museum near us has a great kids exploration area, so maybe see if there is something like that near you?
Gymboree has one free class and then open gym is 10 bucks for non member. The zoo is an awesome place as well as, museums, mall playgrounds, picnics at the park and homemade stuff.
Re: Suggestions for entertaining
Although I did just turn in the tv for 5 mins, for a bit of peace!
