Post-partum girdle?

Has anyone ever used a post-partum girdle before? It sounds like they help to get your body back into normal shape (internally and externally), but I'm wondering A. if they work and B. if there are affordable options. I can't really justify spending $80+ on one!

Re: Post-partum girdle?

  • I used one with DS (any PP or abdominal girdle on Amazon works- don't pay $80).  They will NOT shrink your stomach or make your skinnier quicker.  They can be a great support as your abdominal muscles are weaker (vag and c/s).

  • I've been thinking of trying my normal Spanx. In theory they do the same job. What do you think?
  • I lived in the mesh panties + huge pads + ice pack for a few weeks afterwards.  No way I could wear anything tight like Spanx or pull it up/down.

That's a really good point! Do the medical compression pants have easier access?
  • I've been looking into it too! Had no idea they existed the first time around. Definitely want one this time. When I looked em up there were some for $39.50 then went up from there. Hopefully it works (: would be a blessing !! Good luck !!
