I searched for this and nothing came up. I am curious, what is everyone reading to their LO? Children's stories, or something more suited to your owns tastes?
I am reading Pips my all time favorite, Harry Potter. I've got years and years of children's book reading in my future, so why not? We are currently nine chapters into the first book. I plan on plugging threw them all with her, if possible.

Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
It's hard to hold him and read to him at the same time. How do you ladies do it? I have been attempting to read him our Bible stories for kids but it's hard to show him the pictures.
I'm currently reading "Happiest Baby on the Block" for the second time. I can't read that to her because she'll figure out all my secrets that we use on her. Hehe
Ooo, yes! Pips loves to be sung too! Her favorite at the moment is Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. I've added two more verses to satisfy her. I also sing constantly in the car, so country music when I drive, and sometimes at home, if I use my iPad. I also sing songs from my summer camp days. Little Red Caboose and Gypsy Rover are my favorites. I sing whatever I'm in the mood for mostly, sometimes Christmas carols, sometimes Motown, just whatever suits me at the time really.
Edit: I forgot to say thank you to all of you who said you read your LO whatever you're reading. This had not ever occurred to me. Love the idea. Tried it with Pips today while use the app Doulingo (trying to relearn spanish). Pips loved all the new sounds and talked back to me the entire time. Thank you!!
@Jan1214...Shel Silverstein is one of our favorites, too. We're currently scouring through, "Where the Sidewalk Ends".
@flutterbuggie...we sing Jesus Loves Me a lot. I also make up songs for her. When she's crying I always walk in circles from the kitchen to the living room singing "Emmy Shay, Emmy Shay, Everything's going to be ok. Do do de do, do do de dooo..." She's going to think I'm one crazy mommy when she gets bigger. Haha
She got lots of books for Christmas, so we'll never have a shortage.
I also sing a balance of lullabies and new music. And lots and lots of Anne Murray!

I was singing lots of Christmas songs until recently. As part of her bedtime routine we play a pandora lullaby station and I often ding along.
As for reading, at this point it's mostly whatever I'm reading while nursing -- the wonder weeks book, newspaper, a recipe. I'll probably start to read more children's books soon.
Praying unceasingly for a miracle. ALL welcome!
