Expensive but AMAZING. Love the clear screen, temperature sensor, and colors to show you how loudly she's screaming (in addition to the sound, of course), and the two way talk.
We actually got a web cam and use an app on our phones and iPad to view. It's a quarter the price of most video monitors and works amazing! Not hard to set up using your wireless at home. You can also set it up to be able to view it while on the go or at work which I'll love when I return in a few weeks.
We've yet to use it, but it's what DH wanted. Actually that's not entirely true, he wanted a video monitor, but I've heard so much about people hacking into them and using them to spy on people and their homes that I just didn't want to deal with it (yes there are ways to prevent it, but it's less worry for me this way). So that's the one we've got.
We have the Summer Infant Zoom Wifi. It pans and scans, can take pics, has a temp gage, and night vision. It also can connect with additional cameras plus has an app so you can see the video feed from wherever you are.
We like it - have been using it for naps during the day. It works well, good range. I like the voice activated mode, it kicks on at the slightest noise or change in noise (like if I have music on for him, it picks up when the song changes after a break, but doesn't run constantly and it saves on the battery life) He's asleep in his crib at this point (11:30 PM EST) so we are going to try leaving him there tonight.
*fingers crossed!*
