Randoms: New Year's Day Edition

I fell asleep at 10 but the hubs woke me up when he got home from work at 11 with Taco Bell! Stayed up to eat and kiss at midnight and fell right back to sleep. Felt amazing waking up this morning to no hangover!

@cgiles120812 Old ladies are the worst about saying things that are NOT okay! My grandma used to pull that crap all the time. Try not to take it too hard, I'm sure she meant it differently than you took it. Plus you are adorable!

Thank you that's sweet, my mil said the same thing about dh's grandmother. Apparently she's known for saying rude comments and doesn't realize it.

ITA! I skyped with my Grandma over Xmas (they live in Belgium). First she tells me that she saw a picture of DD1 without glasses and wow is she gorgeous! Too bad she has to wear those glasses. Then she tells me DD2 is so adorable, but that gap between her front teeth is bad. Thankfully it should close up when her adult teeth grow in. If not, we can get that fixed.
She's really excited that we're PG with #3, but it has to be a boy.

I know she meant well with all of it... but geez LOL. Only because I know her so well and love her can she get away with me just laughing at this stuff

I haven't tried them but I've heard good things! Normally my big guy (pic in siggy) is a pretty good sport about loud noises but my mom's dachshund who is visiting freaked and then they were egging each other on. I think I'll get one before the fourth of July and thunderstorm season though in case this is a new trend!

Friends of ours announced their pregnancy last night at a NYE party and now I'm side-eyeing everyone and assuming she's around here.  Realistically, babycenter is more her style.  They got married recently and I felt like I could see everyone counting back in their heads to the figure it if it was pre/post wedding.  

It was mildly awkward as people then kept looking at my water bottle/lack of wine like "Anddddd..... sooooo.......???"

Also early FFFC-- I am letting my DD "play" Lego Batman with me. She just woke up from her nap and is cuddled against me with the broken Xbox controller watching me play. I feel like a bad mom but at least it's not Grand Theft Auto or some violent game

Happy 2015 everyone!!
Had to work til around 10pm last night, got home bushed, so I just prayed to thank God for 2014 then passed out. This having to pee every other minute is really gonna take some getting used to.
I'm dying to take a break and plan a baby moon soon, I need to destress, but stressing over if I shouldn't just save as much as possible for LO. Argh!

I have had no less than 3 facebook friends announce baby #2 in 24 hours, all due in July too. And I'm sure there are others like me who just haven't said anything yet.

So then I went scrolling through the AW thread to see if any of them are here. It doesn't appear that they are, but I'm going to have my eye on everyone, lol! (not in a creepy way, but just to see if they are in fact here).

Took down all the Christmas stuff, and started clearing out the future nursery closet. I think we're really going to try and simplify over the next few months before baby comes. 

Also, my friend texted me about getting Thai food tomorrow, and now I can't stop thinking about how bad I want it.

Today is a day of Booze Traveler, Bizarre Foods, Umizoomi (as always), and really just being lazy. Also DH got paid TODAY instead of tomorrow, which was awesome and weird.

Even if you do get things and change your mind later (it def happens) the return policies are pretty good. Just don't open things until closer to when the baby comes and you'll be fine. I did this a lot...

Omg you guise, I am so pissed. So a few days ago DH and I were sitting in the living room, and we heard a weird noise coming from our office/guest bedroom. We thought it was just the cats, and didn't think twice about it. 

Well, today we were clearing out the guest room (future nursery) a little bit, and we noticed two fucking BB pellet holes in our windows. Two windows. Destroyed. I am beyond livid. We have a feeling it's the neighbors across the street, but currently DH is asking the other neighbors if they've seen anyone with a BB gun lately. We will have to replace both windows. 

I'm not sure if DH is going to confront the people and ask them if they have a BB gun or what, but if other neighbors say that these neighbors indeed do own the gun, we might just call the cops to come deal with it. We took pictures of everything, and there's even a BB pellet still in the windowsill.

Uggghh. Why are people so fucking annoying?!

My husbands ex girlfriend is here from out of town and hanging out with my inlaws I'm beyond upset and I feel very disrespected yet they can't understand what I'm so upset about. #-o

@amc2511‌ my husband has had this conversation with my mother in law countless of times and she and his sisters don't seem to get it. But anytime they disagree with us they make it well known :-S

Our family does that. My ex is now my brothers best friend and my brothers ex (who lived with us for 2 yrs) was at a few of our weddings. There's another that's still our friend too. These people were around for years (we've known them for at least 7 yrs and spent a lot of time with them without my siblings) and the break ups were not messy so I would definitely not stop talking to them for my brothers new partner. If my brothers had a problem with it that would be another story of course

We went to a good friend's wedding last night and had so much fun! It was weird being the only one not drinking, and I don't think I've ever NOT been drinking at a wedding before. But I danced and partied and stayed up until almost 2am. 

Today I feel SO HUNGOVER. MH is FINE, even through he was drinking beer and alcohol and shots and wine. I had WATER and I feel like I got hit by a truck, even after a nap. 

THIS IS SO UNFAIR.

@tiamiaxx‌ oh no it was a bad break up and I've known him since we were 10 but weren't always close. When she found out we were dating she did everything to be in the way but it didn't work. If she hadn't tried her hardest to be in the way I wouldn't have a problem he actually has another ex gf but she's been a family friend forever and we actually get along well at gatherings and hold conversations :-O

Last night half of the couples at my sister's party were pregnant, so it was really fun!  I wasn't the only one not drinking, and I was able to talk with a bunch of other pregnant women in real life about pregnancy and babies (I avoid talking about pregnancy and babies with my friends since none of them are married and it feels a bit weird for them).  I definitely slept from 10:15pm until 11:58pm until my sister woke me up so that I wouldn't miss the countdown.  I tried so hard to stay awake the whole time but just couldn't.

Today I've been craving Shake Shack.  Has any one heard of it?  It is so unhealthy, but their vegetarian burgers (portabella mushroom stuffed with cheese and fried), fries, and shakes are just so delicious!  I might finally take DH up on his offer to always be willing to go out and help me satisfy my cravings at whatever hour (I haven't actually done this yet).

Oh no see that's just messed up and unacceptable!! I hope they will somehow begin to realise how ridiculous that is! So sorry that you have to deal with that. I do not know how I'd cope!

I just watched the first ever episode of TWD with DH and I know I'll regret it when I have stupid nightmares tonight. I have watched some of this season but quit because I had awful dreams when I did. Thank you pregnancy.

I went to tuck DD in (she was distracted by the goodnight show in my room while watched it) and I started crying because I was thinking about how terrible it would be if ananything ever happened like that. I get way to into shows and imagining myself in situations no matter what the type of show is. TwD is bad for me.

I just really want to find out what happens though. Maybe after I'm not PG I can finish it.

I'm just a toal freaking mess though.

@ashslatts524‌ I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It's hard to have a positive attitude when you've been feeling sick for weeks on end, but hopefully we'll all be feeling better soon. In the meantime, don't feel bad about throwing yourself a "pity party" and crying it out. Things will get better eventually!
