The months confuse me

First time mom, and I'm totally lost at how to count the months. 4Weeks in a month 40 weeks pregnant =10 months. I'm 24 weeks so how far along am I. Five or six months?

1 month =31 days or 30 days (except feb at 28days) = 4 weeks + 3 days or 4 weeks + 2 days, every couple months the extra days add up to a whole week, thus 40 weeks is approx 9 months, not 10.
