A few pics of Max (update pg 4)

I hope you guys don't mind but we had a great visit with Max today and my mom was there to document the whole thing. We were told last night that we wouldn't be able to touch him for a while because he was responding badly to touch but today I was encouraged to reach inside and he gripped my finger so tightly. He also opened his eyes and looked right at me when I said hello. It's been a day filled with tons of happy tears, I just had to share!

Hang in there! Hopefully he will be stable enough for you to do skin-to-skin (or called Kangaroo) care very soon. The benefits are amazing for both mommy and baby.

We got to keep the crib card they made for my DD but they encouraged us to make things for the NICU. The first few days nobody knew his name and I cried when I heard that. A nice secretary made Max that sign so everybody would know who he is ☺️ I didnt have any way to make him one myself so I of course cried when I saw his sign this morning.
