So we decided yesterday to delay our FET until the next cycle because of travel plans. However, today I got a 'high' (estrogen surge) indicator on my OPK (advanced) so I went in for blood work to see what's going on. This should be CD9. They said my estrogen was 47 (was 37 yesterday) which is normal and FSH and LH are where they should be but they said my progesterone is 'positive' (higher than 1 I think she said?) which they said was really strange. I had an ultrasound yesterday which looked normal - thin lining and no dominant follicles yet but lots of 'baby' follicles (antral follicles) which is all normal for this day. They went back and retested progesterone on yesterday's sample and that was positive too. And yes I've done an HPT and that was definitely negative (hopeful thinking right?)
My last cycle was weird too - O'd on CD8 and it was a 16 day cycle! I attributed that to the 2 weeks of FET meds I took (estradiol, vivelle, etc.) and then the provera to restart my cycles after we cancelled the medicated cycle. But now this cycle is wacky too. I don't know what's going on! My cycles have always been pretty textbook. RE said I might be peri-menopausal, but she says that about everything weird that happens with me so I tend to discredit that, along with the fact that my mom didn't go through menopause until her mid 50s (actually she never did, she just had a hysterectomy).
They want me in for bloodwork and another ultrasound on Monday to see what's happening. I wonder if it's still weirdness from the provera and FET meds? Or I did start taking 75 mg/day of DHEA a few weeks ago instead of 25 mg like I usually take. Wondering if I need to stop taking that.
Any ideas?
