My insurance company sent me a free Ameda breast pump (Purely Yours Ultra) and 6 additional Medela storage bottles. I know I have lots of time to figure this out before baby gets here but I'm so confused.
Can you feed right out of the storage bottles? What kind of nipples can you use for them? I grabbed a pack of generic nipples from Target that are way too big for the bottles I have.
Re: Dumb questions about breast pumps
There used to be Medela nipples that fit the storage bottles. I never had good luck feeding out of a storage bottle b/c my kids would collapse the nipples when sucking. I had to use a vented style bottle.
Go to Medela's website or to a BRU and see what is still offered for medela feeding. I know Medela came out with their own breast-like feeding bottle, so maybe they discontinued the little nipples for the storage bottles.
