Colace??

I am 35 weeks and have been taking colace for most of the third trimester... Tried stopping once and big mistake! Just curious if anyone else has been taking it daily lonh term? I recently read it was a category C but my doc says it's completely fine...

I have only taken it while in hospital. After narcotics, was very constipated. At home only occasionally. ... good luck. Be sure to take it with a lot of water. They don't always tell you that.

Yes to colace after delivery!  I had a c-section so I was on lotsa pain meds and even with colace and grape juice and tons of water it was a challenge to poo. 

As for it being Category C for pregnant women, I wouldn't stress too much if your doctor is okay with it.

I've been taking it every day since I started needing iron supplements. My doctor said it's fine and that she took it daily herself during her pregnancy.

It's in my book from dr as being an okay to take drug.

I need to start it!! I keep forgetting as crazy as that sounds..... Which is ridiculous considering my constipation and hemmies..... My suggestion is to add on a suppository at the hospital of having a c section. Wish I would have last time around.
