Numbness in fingertips??

It started a few days ago, on my right hand...the tips of my ring finger and middle finger are numb. I tried to Google it, and one thing I found was it could be carpal tunnel caused by pregnancy. My mom said maybe the baby is lying on a nerve causing it...which may be? I feel a little twinge up my arm too, but the finger numbness is what's bothering me. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow & I'm asking him, but just wondering if any of you ever experienced this? Thanks!

Yup, there have been a few discussions about this lately. It's fairly common and incredibly annoying.

Thanks @LooneyLife‌....I never had this with my previous pregnancy, so it was bizarre!!

Yes there's a thread abt CT some days ago. My hands are not numb. It is kinds swollen. The right hand in particular

I get this in my ring and pinky fingers when I've been leaning on the outside of my arm too much. I was told mine is a pinched nerve.

Yep. Sounds like carpal tunnal to me.

Yup both of my hands are still numb and my joints are too swollen to put on rings. Birth did not fix mine

Ugh! Ok....thanks everyone! It's so true that every pregnancy is different! I had no issues at all with my first, and this one has been one wild ride! But it will all be worth it in 11 days when she is here!!!!

In my second tri I would wake up with my hands would be all pins and needles. It would happen almost every night. Then it stopped all of a sudden, and yesterday it started up again. It is just annoying more than anything.

It's carpal tunnel. Baby cant lay on that nerve, its in your arm... nowhere near the uterus! :-)
