Hello ladies!

How far along are you? I'm 38 weeks and 5 days.  Will be 39 weeks on Thursday. 

Upcoming appointments?  Next Monday, if baby is still an inside baby, will see if can strip membranes to get labor started.  Last appointment, we were unable to because I'm only 1cm dilated, need to be 2cm dilated.  Also discovered I have a yeast infection, so got some 3 day Monistat.  Had no clue because I can't see down there with this huge belly and didn't have any noticeable symptoms.  Reflux has been better, more careful about what I eat, baby is moving down, and still on my meds. 

Any updates to share? House is ready for baby!  We are ready!  Just been walking the mall, doing small chores, and hanging with the hubby.  Hubby has been on edge and is not fully enjoying our time off together, he is just anxious about the waiting process and ready for baby to be here. 

How are you feeling? I've been feeling relaxed now that I feel my nesting is good enough.  I got everything on my list done.  I just want baby to come esp with school starting next Friday (day after my due date).  I'm excited and nervous.  Didn't realize how hard this waiting process would be at the end. 

QOTW: What is your favorite, easy, go-to dinner?  For us it's pizza, frozen, take out, or those take and bakes from Costco.

Oh my goodness, another week?  Happy almost New Years, y'all!

How far along are you? I'm 38 weeks today. 

Upcoming appointments?  Tomorrow morning! I don't expect much news. I think I'm going to decline a cervix check as all it seems to do is play mind games with me.

Any updates to share? Nothing baby related - everything has been all ready for a few weeks now. But we bought a new couch and arm chair this weekend, which makes me SO excited! I really, really love it - it's a huge cranberry colored sectional with a gray arm chair and ottoman. It's super comfortable and fits like it was designed for our space.  We found it on Craigslist from a couple who bought it less than a year ago and seems to redecorate annually just for fun, so it's barely used. It was kind of a bit of drama to get it here, but everything worked out and I'm loving it a lot.  Plus we sold our old sofa for $80 - which is awesome, since we bought it in 2009 for $100. That's less than $5/year of use! Woot woot! 

How are you feeling? Overall good. I had some serious contractions on Friday but just as soon as we decided to put the bags in the car, they stopped and haven't been back since. Currently little man is wedging a foot up into my ribs, which isn't my favorite feeling either.

QOTW: What is your favorite, easy, go-to dinner?  Chicken caesar salad. We make the dressing using greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil worchestershire sauce, anchovies, black pepper, and parmesean, toss it with romaine and some form of chicken (either grilled or if we're really lazy, rotisserie). Top with croutons if desired, mix in parmesean, eat!

Hello ladies! 32w 5d today. Still feeling pretty good, though sleep is getting tougher and my legs have been swelling a bit more. Need to start slowing down a bit at work, I guess. Planning on working through the end of January, so I shall see how that goes.

Need to start weekly BPPs this week. Seeing the MFM again on the 13th and seeing the OB at some point next week. Cold is *finally* gone after two weeks of stuffiness! Room is finally painted, blinds are up on the windows, closet shelving is almost done. Now I have to channel my Martha Stewart and sew a window valance and crib skirt. Nesting like CRAZY!!


QOTW: usually a take&bake chicken Kiev from target and rice or rotisserie.

Hello Ladies!

How far along are you? 36+4

Upcoming appointments? 37 week appt next Tuesday

Any updates to share? Had my 36 week yesterday - TDaP and GBS - fun!  Unfortunately she also did a quick check (cervical) to make sure the baby was head down.  (Saw one of the other OBs in the practice - who may be on call when I deliver - holidays so lots of vacations).  Usually they check by palpitating from the outside, but she did a check internally.  This was bad since back at the beginning of my 3rd tri I learned I have a sensitive cervix that is prone to bleeding - hence stopped all travel (flying) which seemed to aggravate it.  Well, I was warned I would bleed a little but this was a lot. (soaked a liner in 10-15 min, and then went through 2 pads rest of day)  Worst was in the evening when I went to restroom there was a LARGE clot! I called the OB's office - they said since no other symptoms and baby was moving, not to worry.  I did notice after that it changed to just some light spotting so I think that was the end of it.  However I am going to see how long we can put off actual cervical checks if this is what happens to me.

How are you feeling? A lot more fatigued these days!  And my arm is super sore from the TDaP shot today - but that was to be expected.

QOTW: What is your favorite, easy, go-to dinner? 

Hmm - probably take-out/delivery

32w3d- no upcoming appointments. My midwives are having me coming in every 3 weeks for so I don't have another appointment until 34 weeks, then we go to every 2 weeks, then weekly.

We have a silly, L-shaped nursery that I just cannot envision furniture in, and we're waiting to buy furniture until I can use the completion discount (around 36 weeks... feel free to tell me I'm making a bad choice!), so the room is just sitting there, mostly empty. It's driving me crazy! Having it empty did allow me to clean the baseboards with a toothbrush this weekend, so that's good. Nesting is kind of awesome.

QOTW: lentil meatballs (I always have a stash in the freezer) and pasta are the default when we're pressed for time but I don't want to pay to eat out.

Happy New Year ladies! This is the year our babies arrive!

I'm 30 weeks today.

I had an appt yesterday. Everything looked great. Quickest appt I've ever had. Didn't have anything new to discuss.

I've started working on cleaning out the bedroom. We put all the furniture in there when we got DS his new bedroom set about a month ago, so that's good to go. Just have to find places to put the rest of our stuff we have in there. I'm going to try to wash the NB and 0-3 mos clothes soon so I can see if I need to pick up a few warmer clothes. DS was born in April, so I think we just had a few things.

Of course DS gave me his cold again... 3rd one so far, which started Christmas Eve and I felt awful on Christmas Day. Still congested and exhausted (why isn't nap time built into the work day?), but starting to feel better. DH has it now.

QOTW: Ordering a pizza!

@southernyankeegirl - I hear ya! I think I'll let them do the cervix check at 36w (they like to do at least then) and decline after that. With DS, there was NOTHING going on and they kept telling me I'd probably go late. My water broke at 39w2D. Even if I were dilated, I could stay that way for weeks with nothing happened. Oh and I love good buying/selling deals on Craigslist.

@Ducky719 - LOL at the pads. I told my Director last week that I had a really close call and almost had to go home after I sneezed. He didn't get it, but the other ladies got a good chuckle.

@runawaylaurel - I think you're fine. Baby won't be in there from 1 and the coupon's a good idea.

@Lady2010 - Glad everything turned out ok after the cervix check.

Hi Ladies! Can I join you all!? My EDD is 3/21/15! Can't believe I'm 3rd tri!!

I don't have any appointments for a few weeks. I've been so exhausted this week, it's like I haven't slept at all in 2014 Hopefully it was the holidays just tiring me out and I'll get some more energy soon.

I've been getting really sharp pains on my left side for a few weeks, they are more annoying than anything else since they always make appearances when I'm driving and doing things.

QOTD: My go to easy (and cheap) dinner is Raviolis. Cooks in 6 minutes and I always stock up when they go on sale for $1 or less If I'm super lazy, I'll throw them in the crockpot with sauce for two hours on high and be done with it.

Upcoming appointments? Check-up on Monday, last growth scan on the 8th or 9th.

Any updates to share? Had a check-up this morning. My blood pressure was back to normal after being a little high last week. I'm still thinning (80-90%) and dilated 3 cm. I don't think I could decline a cervix check. I love knowing what's going on since I'm not feeling anything! I forget if I said this last week, but I had a positive result for GBS strep so I'll have to get the antibiotics.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. It's getting hard to lay on my sides because Baby E is getting so big. No matter which way I turn, something pokes out the side and it's really uncomfortable.

QOTW: What is your favorite, easy, go-to dinner? Hmm. Maybe hot turkey sandwiches and mashed potatoes, homemade pizza (easy because H makes it!) or ditalini with sundried tomato pesto.

33w1d over here. I'm feeling more swollen by the end of my 10 hour shifts. I am so happy last night was my last night shift! I feel like I was run over after this last stretch of 6 in a row.

My appt this past Monday for my regular OB 32w appt was cancelled due to deliveries, so I am going on Friday now instead. I think that will put me at every week appts thereafter.

QOTW: DH loves sandwiches for dinner. Lunch meat, cold or hot or a grilled cheese always makes him a happy man.

Any updates to share? Went to the doc today - wasn't my OB so she didn't do much. I was looking forward to a cervical check just to see if I started dilating but she didn't do it. Otherwise, I'm finally starting to finish up with the baby stuff! I'm halfway done with prepping the cloth diapers and tomorrow will be spent finishing up decorating the room! Oo and we won a newborn photography session at our house! So happy to not have to worry about nb pics now!

How are you feeling? Okay - excited and nervous like I'm excited to get to see and hold the baby and yet, starting to feel completely freaked out about actually having a baby to take care of!

36 weeks on Friday! I'm feeling pretty good, just huge. My next appointment is Jan 5th where I'll have the GBS swab and a cervical check. When we get back from this weekend's trip, I need to get all of her clothes and blankets washed and move DS to his new room. We are all getting very excited for her arrival

QOTW: Trader Joes meatballs, vodka sauce and gnocchi. We always keep those three items on hand for a quick and yummy dinner.

I will write a seperate detailed birth story post soon but just wanted to quickly share the news that we had our beautiful daughter Quinn Noelle on December 22 just 3 days from christmas!! Baby and mom are doing well and adjusting nicely at home! Pictures to follow too!

Hi, may I be added to 3rd Tri? My dd is 3/18.

How far along are you? 29w1d 
Upcoming appointments?  Next Tuesday is just a h/b check, but I bet I'm going to get yelled at for declining the full glucose check. My concern is how bad my carpal tunnel is. My whole hand loses feeling often. Something must be done.
Any updates to share? The nursery is basically complete. This was a big checkmark. At my 28wk ultrasound appt, the baby's h/b was high - upper 160's to 174. Everything looked okay, but they kept checking h/b until they got one that read 160, and then they sent me home. That just didn't feel right, so now I'm concerned. 
How are you feeling? As of week 28, I am mostly mildly uncomfortable at all times. I just don't feel like I can breathe very well. The edema is manageable, but the carpal tunnel is out of control. I'm also starting to get nervous about a healthy birth.

QOTW: What is your favorite, easy, go-to dinner?  I don't cook. Kraft mac & cheese is a staple! But frequently we just eat out.

28 weeks today!

Next appt Jan 15th, then I start going every two weeks and I start seeing my Doula the week after to prepare.

No update, but getting ready to put final touches on the nursery in the next few weeks.

Feeling sick coughing, head congestion, sore throat. Kind of miserable and hope I get well soon.

Easy dinner, anything I can heat up that I have left over. I hate left overs but it's been way too convenient to not do it lately.

@chucktgirl‌ I am starting to have a hard time breathing myself. Feels like my insides are being squeezed!

How far along are you? 40+3 

Upcoming appointments? Welp, I'm still here I had a growth scan and fluid level check at 40+1 Baby and fluids look good. Baby is estimated to be 8lbs 11oz. Today I had an NST and we scheduled me to go in for an induction at 41 weeks.

Any updates to share? Still 1cm dilated, 60% effaced. I was having prodromal labor, but it abruptly stopped and I haven't had any labor pains since. The OB did a membrane sweep at 40weeks and today at 40+3. I did loose my mucus plug after I came home from my membrane sweep so that's a good sign!

How are you feeling? I want this baby out of my body and in my arms! despite being late LO is crazy active! Having an almost 9lb baby kicking and wiggling non stop hurts!! To top things off I contracted a head cold at 39+5 and I haven't been able to shake it off. I started my maternity leave at 40 weeks hoping to rest and get over this cold before baby comes. I'm starting to feel a little better today. Hopefully I'll be posting a birth announcement soon!!

QOTW: grilled cheese and tomato soup are a go to. DH and I also like grilled up a small steak and adding it to a big salad as a quick go to meal.

@Saintelizabeth ugh, hoping baby would be here by now!!!!  I'm feeling anxious wanting my baby out too!  I'm 39 weeks and 1 day, next appt is at 39 weeks and 4 days on Monday.  I'll see if they can strip my membranes then.  Hopefully the stripping will lead to some production of labor inducing hormones for you or at least getting that cervix ripened some more! 

On a side note, our insurance changed January 1st.  So I'm a little anxious knowing my coverage isn't as good as before.  Our insurance cards finally came today in the mail!  I was worried it wouldn't come lol  Going to go online and see if we need to do anything just in case we have to go into the hospital!

Congrats to our recent mamas, hope you and your babies are all doing well!!

I am 33+2 and was admitted to L&D on Tues after a routine OB appt showed elevated BP, protein in my urine, substantial weight gain since my previous appt 2 weeks before. When I got here, things were scary and preeclampsia was confirmed, we were told to brace for the arrival of these babies that night. Thankfully I stabilized and the babies did too. They are very closely monitoring the babies and me. We managed to get the two doses of steroids in to aid in lung development. We are basically just hanging in here, praying for another day at a time, trying to inch closer to 34 weeks. If anything changes - my health is no longer stable or the babies aren't getting what they need, they'll move quickly with a c section. It's been one hell of a week to say the least. I just want to keep them in as long as possible, provided that's best for them of course.

@mdiblasi10 Sorry I missed the check in, I was at the hospital with our newborn son! Canyon James was born 12/30 at 6:21pm via emergency c section weighting in at 9lbs and 19 1/2 long. We are over the moon! I'll give details later. But he is here, happy and healthy.

I'm 36 weeks now, and I can't believe how fast time has flown by for my pg! I've been crazy busy, and DH is finally back to work, but I have so much to do around the house to get it ready. My OB has scheduled me to be induced on January 25th. She's going to be here so soon! My GERD is making me miserable, but really that's my only complaint. Congrats to all the new Moms Our fave go to meal is carryout..haha. I'm obsessed with chick fil a. An easy meal I make at home is frozen ravioli, garlic bread and a veggie.
