Family names

DH and I are expecting number two in July and are tossing names around. I think we're pretty set on first names but the middle names aren't coming together.

For a girl, we've decided on Malin. I wanted to use Inez, my dad's mom's name who I never got to meet. DH doesn't like it so what about Kay? That's my mom's twin sister's middle name and she doesn't have kids.

For a boy, we will use Graham as the first name. DH wants to use Elbert as the middle name, his grandfathers name. I'm not feeling that one and don't have anything else to offer.

My son's name is Hudson James.

I'm a little confused with Malin. Is it pronounced May-Lynn or Muh-Lynn or Mall-in?
If you plan on sticking with this FN then I would go with Kay as the MN. I think Kay would be the easier name paired with a more difficult first.

I really Graham and I think Elbert sounds fine. I like when people use family names in the MN spot verses random names. If you don't have anyone else you would like to honor then I would probably let DH have this.

Malin is pronounced May-Lynn. The more times I say Graham Elbert out loud, the more it grows on me and I do want to honor DH's grandfather in some way as they were very close.

I like graham. What about Malik for a boy?
