Can we talk hair and makeup?

I haven't read all of the threads so I'm not sure if covered. 

McBenny mentioned finding makeup that matched. My shade varies during the summer months. Does anyone buy makeup in the winter and buy different shades in the summer. I don't wear makeup everyday so it lasts for a while.

I wear SPF 50 and still get several shades darker in the summer.

It's usually half of my face because of driving. It's really hard to find the right color for me.

About once a year I decide I'm going to put more effort into my appearance, and I go out and buy a bunch of new makeup, and then I wear for a day, or a week, or not at all. Then another year goes by and I have to throw it all out, rinse and repeat. I'm the worst. I really wish I gave more fucks about how I look.

That's my resolution @peanutbutterfox for my day to day. I put the effort when I'm going to events and meetings. That's about it.

I bought a Bare Minerals palette thing in June. I didn't even open the damn thing for like a month just to try it out at home. Then I pulled it out again for a wedding in September. That's it. Probably won't use it again ever.

I don't tan. So, no. The only thing I do during the summer is add a green primer to correct my extra redness (if I've been out in the sun).

Olive oil shampoo and conditioner is pretty awesome. I used to work in a REgis Salon and they sold one that I loved. They even have a leave in that worked really well for super crunchy hair.

Can I just go ahead and AW my favorite products? I do a mix of the fanceh stuff and the drugstore stuff (I read a lot of amazon reviews, lol).

Fanceh Stuff:

Make Up Forever Invisible HD foundation. It's the shiz. And foundation is one thing I can't cheap out on.

Tarte Lip Stain - last much longer than lipstick, slightly sheer so I don't need a liner.

Stila "in the garden" pallette - I converted to this after years of the Naked I ans ii pallettes.


Drugstore Stuff:

Loreal magic perfecting base (good cheap primer - I have big pores and this stuff is like spackle)

Loreal Mascara - comprable to Diorshow, it comes in a gold and black tube.

Cerave Moisturizer - awesome for the price. Good for sensitive skin.

Maybelline liquid eyeliner.


Also for hair I love Redken AllSoft products, but I have fine dry hair.

@starscream I get my hair straightened because I have a tiny bit of relaxed hair left and it doesn't look good when I try to go curly.

Oh yea, sometimes if I decide to wash my hair myself I do the braids. Hair looks fine for a day or two.

I have Naked 2. I want the other two but I don't think the pinkish toned one would look good on my skin and the original seems to have a lot of dark Colors which make me look like a goth.

Nope, its the only one ive found that wont break me out and I have adult acne that I can't treat right now because BFing. If you're not BFING Retinol products help big pores, too.

My fave for this is the Stila tinted moisturizer that I totally can't afford right now. Ave enough makes a BB cream that works well but it broke Me out.

I have a relaxer that is almost completely grown out. I need to start watching tutorials on how to do more with it myself. I shell out major bucks at the salon.

I would mind spending a lot of money on my hair because I hate doing it but I can't find a decent salon close by. I might have to suck it up and go into one of the bigger cities.

I'm taking a chunk of my next college check to get stuff from Shiro Cosmetics. I farking love the stuff. I just gotta practice my eyes and brows. Once I figure out the proper techniques there I think I'll be good to go. I've been fairly obsessed over make up lately and am now begging my SO for a battle station once the cosleeper is gone from our room.

Also, where the eff has the beauty blender been all my life!!

I am so excited about this find I'm going to drop it here. I just bought the Cover FX creamy concealer. It is AMAZING!! The tiniest dot covered my under eye area beautifully. My H even mentioned that I looked so awake and well-rested.
