I have Carter's that are just like the Stride Rite ones and they are like $30, and even less at the Outlet.

My older daughter wore mostly hand me down Target shoes and so far her feet haven't fallen off.

Honestly, I don't notice a sizing difference at all; Phia wears a 5W now and the 5 FP's fit her great and she has room to grow into them. Just measure your LO's feet and use their sizing chart. It's accurate!

Did I tell you guys about the time that I lost one of LO's Sperry Topsiders ($68) and had to go buy another pair because I love them and they are adorable? That's $136 on basically one pair of shoes.

Actually all of LO's shoes have been $60ish- Nikes, Toms, and Sperry's. I thought that was the legit going rate for kid shoes.
