3 Day Vacation ideas for my anniversary

So its our 10 year this upcoming May. My mom is flying in to babysit the kids, however she proved with her last visit here she cant really be left alone that long with 2 of them. So our plan is to just do a little weekend away so my aunt can help her babysit. It takes a village with my crazy children @-)

Anyway, if you could take a 3 day vacation where would you go? I dont want to do a Mexico cruise because weve done that 3 times and I'm over it. We went to wine country 2 years ago and we kind of always go to wine country. Its always fun, but I guess I'm kind of bored with that. There is San Francisco or Vegas. He's iffy on Vegas.

Anyone have any fresh ideas? Flying is ok, it just has to be a short 3 day trip.

We went to Portland last September and loved it. Lots of cool music clubs, restaurants and niche shopping.  The Redwood forests were gorgeous as well and about a 3 hour drive from Medford (not sure how far from Portland).
He has mentioned Portland or Washington. I was iffy on it, but it is somewhere totally new and only a 1.5 hr flight. So good to know you enjoyed yourself there!

If I lived out on the West Coast, I think I would go to Vegas, Disney Land, or camping at the Grand Canyon. Anything child-free would be fun for me at this point :)
By camping... do you mean glamping? I cant do cold and tents, but I can do cabins and a warm fire log fire :) Ive never been to the Grand Canyon.

You are right, anything child free will be amazing.

We are sight seeing kind of people. Our "vacations" are spent running around and seeing everything the town has to offer. We also like to drink and eat!

I loved San Francisco when H & I went a few years ago. Alcatraz was amazing, Chinatown delicious and the redwoods were really neat too. I would personally love to go to Portland or Seattle so those could be great options.

Ive done San Francisco,  Santa Barbara,  Temecula,  Vegas, and San Diego a million times over.

So it looks like Seattle or Portland might be really good options! Thank you all for the input!

I second Seattle. I lived there many years and I truly believe it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
