Tooth Growth Bruising

My 9 month old started teething last month. He started getting his top 4 front teeth and then started the bottom 2 shortly after. Now the right top 2 and bottom are through but the left top 2 still haven't poked through yet. About 2 weeks ago he face planted on one of his toys (started trying to stand) and bruised his gum over the left front tooth. The bruise is gone now and gums look healthy. I'm curious to know whether that could possibly stop that tooth from growing anymore. Anyone have an issue or know anything about this? His ped said it looks healthy and he'll check it again at 12 month. That really doesn't make me feel any better or answer my question!!
