I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally feel like I've learned enough to introduce myself, and hopefully, become a constructive part of the group. The "Newbie Blog" on the TTGP board helped me a lot, every newbie to BOTB/TTGP should read it. Thank you for putting to together all of that great information for us newbies!
Just a little about me, my DH and I have been married for two years now, been together for six, and we lived together for three years before we got married (we bought our first house a week before our wedding). Now we both have an extreme case of BOTB, and we are ready to start our own little family. We have a two year old German Shepard that we absolutely adore, we joke he's our first born.
I stopped taking my BCP early this month, and we plan to start TTC #1 in a couple of months (March 2015). I also began taking prenatal vitamins when I stopped taking my BCP. Ever since we decided to start trying soon, getting pregnant and babies are consuming my thoughts 24/7. It's nice to know I'm not alone with my thoughts.
It's been nice getting to know you ladies, I hope you enjoy getting to know me!
Edit: I can't believe it, but I forgot to mention our fur baby!

Re: Hello There!
Thank you for the warm welcome ladies! Nice to finally meet you!
P.S. ladynymeria: Hank is one very handsome young man. Looks like a sweet heart!
:x
Hi & thank you! It's good to know I'm not alone. If you don't mind sharing, what was your experience going off of BCP? I've read every forum I have come across on TB regarding stopping BCP because it has been a rocky adjustment so far, and I wanted to know if it was all in my head.
I was on BCP (the same ones the entire time, Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo) for almost 9 years, and I'm so freaked out that my body won't "go back to normal". I had regular cycles before starting BCP but I stopped taking them after I finished a pack and had AF so I haven't gotten my next AF just yet. I'm hoping it just goes back to normal, but I know it's not always that easy.
Anyway, I felt like complete crap for about two weeks after stopping them, and I'm finally feeling normal again. I just felt different, not myself, tired, crampy, nauseous. I'm wondering if that happened to you as well?
Nice to meet you, good luck!
You don't have to ask me twice
And I think you'll like this one. This is how he cuddles on the couch with me, because he's not allowed on the couch. Ha! His name is Colt. He's a sweet heart with pretty eyes and big ears :x
Feel free to share pics of Hank anytime.
ladynymeria! I love Shepherds and Labs so much. My childhood dog was half Shepherd half Lab.
That's so funny about the blanket, what are the odds.
I wish they could have a play date, oh well... 8-|
