Married August 2003
I'm in a weird place right now where I am so ready to be done with pregnancy and meet my baby, but my home is physically not ready at all. Baby shower isn't until Jan 25th.
BFP #2 6/12/14, DD born 2/21/15
@smcniff With DS, I think I was in some denial he was early at 36w6d and I didn't have a hospital bag packed, or even bought a crib. He didn't care, though. I don't know if I will ever feel like my house (or myself) will be ready for my second one. Thanks for the hugs and right back at you!

When are people doing their hospital tour? Mine offers a class you can take as well which we will probably do since my husband has not even changed a diaper. I'm pretty sure its offered once a month. I feel like it's still too early but I also don't wat to wait too long.
BFP #2 6/12/14, DD born 2/21/15
@racegurl87 I have 3 pillows and a small polar fleece blanket I sleep with under my belly. Depending on the night sometimes I use all the pillows and blanket, plus steal a couple from my H, other nights I throw them all on the ground and sleep with one. What is "comfortable" changes for me on a regular basis, but I ditched the big body pillow probably 10 weeks ago and just use smaller ones now wherever I feel unsupported.

*~*~* All AL Welcome*~*~*
How did I miss this last night? I have my 37 week appointment today (kinda early but New Years messes it up) – there wasn’t much progress last week at my 36 but I felt very thoroughly examined (GBS test, NST, cervix check) and left feeling very excited. I have an u/s today (to see if baby is still breech) and then another NST on 1/5. I assume he’ll do another cervix check today but we’ll see. I’m hoping for another “not much going on” week because I have some stuff that I need to take care of at work and home yet.
@footprint ((hugs)) for your loss date yesterday. I hear you about moaning and groaning and struggling with everything – it will get better, I promise. I mean, it will take like 7 weeks or so but it will get better. I find that sometimes I just need to laugh at myself and that helps.
@racegurl87 Boo to not sleeping well. Do you have a recliner? I have some luck taking naps in that when I couldn’t get comfy in bed.
@smcniff Almost there! You can do it! 02/18 will be here before you know it!
@kate6214 I did my hospital tour at the beginning of November for an end of January due date. When I called, they pretty much told me when to schedule it. I think you are better off doing it earlier because (a) you will be more comfortable physically to walk around and (b) it might answer some questions that you will think of later on.
@morethansparrows08 Yay for 36 weeks!!!! We are so close!!!! I need new nightstands – DH keeps promising to make them but so far no luck.
@mrskblack11 Boo to back pain – that really sucks. I hope the yoga helps!
@akleng Yay for picking out paint!!!!

**All AL Welcome**
I always had to sleep with a body pillow or folded up blanket under my belly during 3rd tri with DS. The weight of my belly pulling on my back hips was killer. I hope you ladies in pain find some relief soon. I also used Tylenol PM on occasion to help.
AFM I'm enjoying finally putting 1st tri behind me and looking forward to feeling better. I'm also excited about feeling the baby moving around in the next month or so. I first felt DS at 19 weeks and I've heard that generally second babies are felt earlier. That is by far my favorite part of pregnancy.

@racegurl87 - Hope you can get some good sleep soon. ((hugs))
@kate6214 - We start our childbirth class on Monday at 25 weeks. Some would say it's a bit early, but others say you want to do it earlier so that you can practice the techniques for longer. We haven't looked into the hospital tour yet, as we're changing doctors...again.
@morethansparrows - ((hugs)) to you, too. Sorry you're feeling yucky, too. Amazing that you got all that free wood!!!
@mrskblack11 - Sorry about the back pain. I hope the yoga helps--it makes a big difference for me.
@mmheartspb - ((hugs)) Sending t&p to you and your LO.
Reading all this has made me dread the third trimester somewhat. %-( I've been feeling pretty good recently, but I already knew that wouldn't last!
((hugs)) to all who need them!

Thank you to everyone for being so sweet and nice to me! I really appreciate it.
T&ps @mmheartspb that baby girl makes a break for it soon and naturally. Have you thought about using a breast pump to start labor? I guess nipple stimulation is the only proven way to kick start labor. Best of luck.
@pblge I'm always mobile and I was so, so surprised by your BPF at 24 weeks, because I thought you were a couple of weeks ahead of me. Kinda threw me for a loop!

I had an anterior placenta with Nora. My Ob had me do kick counts once a day and then just pay attention to movements the rest of the day. I did counts after dinner. She was usually most active in the evening so it was an easy time for me. I'd sit on the couch with my giant water and drink the water while I counted. The rest of the day I just paid attention to movement and if it had been an hour and I didn't remember having at least some movement I'd stop what I was doing and give her a poke or drink something cold or sugary to get her going.
Pretty soon the location of your placenta shouldn't limit your ability to feel movement b/c baby will be big enough that s/he will be moving and kicking all over.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7
