OBs with their own practice?

Hi everybody, I'm new to this board and I really need to find an OB! We are in Monroeville but wouldn't mind driving into the city for the right doctor. I'm looking into the different UPMC groups but am hating the fact that there seem to be 6 doctors at every location and there seems to be a "bad egg" in each group (based on ratings). Is there anywhere in the area that you can go to one doctor for all of your appointments and also have that same doctor deliver your baby? I'm thinking that's not realistic but figured it was worth asking. Also this is a pregnancy newbie question but...if there is one particular doctor I'd prefer to see at a UPMC location can I request them or will they force me to shuffle around all the time? I don't know the answer to your question about OB's with their own practice, but I've been seeing Dr. Jaja at Womancare associates. There are several doctors at that practice, like you've said, but when I was pregnant I always made several appointments in advance and could request what doctor I wanted to see. Dr. Jaja is fantastic and was recommended to me by my fertility doctor. The other doctors at that practice are great too. I actually wanted to see all of them a few times since I didn't know who I'd end up delivering with. In the end it didn't matter since my labor was super quick, and a resident had to deliver my LO. You can always make appointments to meet with different practices to get a feel of the doctors. Good luck with your search!
