Braxton hicks or contractions

I have been experiencing tightness in my tummy that goes down to my vagina to my back. This has been going on for the past 3 hrs on and off. Not sure if labor is beginning. Anybody have felt this way?

@papapalie‌ They do make me stop and breathe. I'm going to start timing them. I'm hoping this is labor. I'm so ready to have my baby girl.

Even if they're painful, for it to be the real deal you'll notice a pattern of them getting more intense and closer together. I had prodromal labor with DD and had tons of painful contractions for weeks but they didn't occur at regular intervals until the end.
