And, go!

Re: 2015: What's Up for You??
Smaller goals - get back into a running routine before I get pregnant and get back into reading. I haven't read anything longer than an article since Ash was born.
1) Having the best possible year as a family with our baby daughter!
2) Actually starting to build on our land in Peru. There's only so long A's father can keep popping over to make the plot look occupied, lol.
3) Getting over to Lima at some point to meet our new nephew and introduce Santana to A's family - and while we're there, maybe look at a development opportunity A's father has found for us.
Me: 30 DW (aka C): 29
Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12
***CP mentioned***
We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
SO, the reason I even mention all of the above is that our goals for 2015 were to try to move and to try to get pregnant with baby #2. I think there is a less than 50% chance we can afford to move in 2015. TTC #2 this coming year is important to us, but if we buy a new SUV or need a new roof (or other repairs), then TTC is honestly at risk of getting pushed to 2016. Which would be hard to accept, because we both agree we don't want to wait...
So, aside from hitting the lotto in 2015, my goal is to find ways to do more with less, save money, and perhaps find creative ways to supplement my income and bring in more money. We would be doing a lot better if we didn't need a new car and we weren't looking at house repairs. Oh, and if getting pregnant wasn't so costly. But, we make do with the hand we are dealt. I keep reminding myself it could be much worse. Life is all about choices, and we will just have to prioritize and do what is most important to us first...
ETA: that posted before I was ready...
So, aside from the above, I also want to lose 30 lbs before TTC and also find time and energy to focus more on my relationship with J. I don't want us to get so consumed with life and parenting that our relationship as a couple suffers.
Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012
5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN
Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer! *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581 *********William George born June 4, 2014*********- gut and renovate our bathroom and kitchen.
- drop the baby weight I STILL haven't lost. I imagine I'm one of the lucky few that keep weight on while breastfeeding and since I'm not planning on weaning until he's 2, this might not happen until fall. Oh well, I can try (again).
- begin TTC for #2 in the early fall. J still isn't sure if/ when she wants another but my goal is to get all of our house renovations done before talking TTC and I'm hoping that's early fall.
- J finds a job that she enjoys. She works nights at a factory right now and she hates everything about her work. She's going to start aggressively job hunting after the new year (preferably on day shift). She's incredibly smart and versatile. She's also one of those people that's good at EVERYTHING she tries so I have everything crossed that she'll find something that she loves.
Here's to hoping 2015 is a great year!
*DS 6/28/2013*
2015 ... here we go ...
* Become more motivated at my job. Learn, grow, get better.
* Really clean out some space in our house. Declutter and evaluate how we can rearrange to accomodate another living being.
* Survive the rest of the S's work year (through early June), and make the best professional and financial decisions about her/our future.
* Grow a single, healthy baby.
* Do some hard work on my relationship with my family. They are wonderful and I know that I am incredibly lucky, but my patience with them wears thin and that's complete BS.
* Put in the time to do the reading necessary to enhance my parenting toolbox. G deserves that effort, and I deserve to feel like a confident, competant parent.
* Get Duncan (and us) back into obedience training.
* Sell our rental property
* Pay off any remaining debt after the sale of that property.
That's a lot of stuff. I have my work cut out for me, for sure!

Ultrasound at 6w4d shows a single, fluttering heartbeat. Say hello to Sticky Ricki!
Goal #2: I'm thinking about starting a blog. I have an MFA in creative writing, but I've all but abandoned it since I got my degree and I do miss it. It feels like a big hole in my life and I get jealous when I hear about what my MFA classmates are up to. I kept resisting starting a blog because it seemed like kind of a cliché -- how many people write blogs and abandon them? how many people write blogs that aren't worth reading? -- but the truth is that it's better I write a blog than write nothing!
Goatl #3: Get a better handle on our finances. I'm not sure exactly what this means yet, but I feel like I don't really have a sense of where our money goes, and I want to try to save more.

Goals:
- Lose as much weight as possible before TTC#2
- Stay debt-free. Harder now with ALL our "disposable income" going to daycare.
- Get to yoga at least 2x a week, somehow. Start the online meditation J is doing (it does seem reasonable and achievable).
- Complete Simone's pregnancy journal, baby book and First 100 Days project before June
- TTC#2. YIKES!
- Stay the course at work - no need to go crazy in terms of achieving, but stay solid while maintaining a reasonable work/life balance.
- Have at least 1, with a goal of 2, dates each month with J, sans Simone.
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

2015 goals:
- To continue this pregnancy and have a healthy baby at the end.
- To not only survive with 2U2, but to enjoy it and to remind myself how very blessed we are.
That's all I want right now. The rest is just not important.
1. TTC #2 in fall/winter. J is starting to track her cycles next month since we are going to attempt at home ICIs again. Scary!
2. Buy a new truck in spring and then do lots of camping.
3. Visit my sister in Portland
4. Make time to be a couple.
5. Find a way to love my job, or find a different one/figure out a way to be a SAHM.
