Baby Names

K boy names ?

Ok my daughter is 11 and her name is Angelique.
I am currently pregnant. This was a surprise so i am at a total loss for names. I know for a girl i always like Jadalyse. My hubby has no problem with that. But for boys names ooomg. I donno for some reason I don't like ANY names. Hubby is from a family of 5 siblings all with the letter K names. His son who is from another mother has taken his name which is Kenneth. So i am looking for possible? Or something that goes nice with Angelique. My name is Concetta.

Re: K boy names ?

  • I should also add im not a fan of very common names.
  • I may not be spelling Jadalyse correctly iv only herd it not seen the spelling it sounds like "Jada-lease"

Im looking over the list of names u wrote with a friend now. Thanx

  • Omg, first off, if you have a girl, please don't use Jadalyse! WTF even is that?!
I totally agree with the above, please just no.

For boy's name my BIL is Kieran and my DH is Kyle. I really like both of those..I am a bit biased though ;)

To me, Kyrie sounds like someone misprouncing Kylie.

Your daughter's name is lovely. I would go with something feminine and flowy to go with that if you are having a girl. Jadalyse is nowhere near as pretty. Jade or Jada, fine.

I think everyone else covered boy names with a K. Other boy names that could go with Angelique:

    Elliot
    Leo
    Declan
    Carter
    Gideon
    Donovan

A special thank you to the ppl who stuck to the question I asked ! Uncommon K boy names ! Lol I appreciate the respect very much ! Jotting names as i go along.

  • Congrats on your new baby! I hope you know that people aren't trying to be cruel, but this is a place to get the real scoop on what others are going to say behind your back. You want to give your child a name they can be proud of.

Jadalyse sounds like a fancy condiment. Just no. What about Jocelyn? or Jade Elise? As others said, Jade has a stripper vibe.

Unusual doesn't make something better, it just means no one else likes it.

With a boy, whatever you do, don't misspell a C name with a K. Like Karter, Konner, etc. It is beyond tacky and overdone. I like Kyle, Kai, Kurt, and Kirk. But really, you are limiting yourself by sticking to one letter. Your husband has a namesake already, so maybe open yourself up to the rest of the alphabet.

I went to my local public library and borrowed some baby name books, eve after I had purchased two. We are still without a name for our little man.

Try to stay away from using a K for names that are traditionally spelled with a C, it just makes it looks like the parents don't know how to spell. And please don't use Jadalyse if you have a girl, just don't....

Oh...like Killian, which should be spelled Cillian, NOT Killian.
@mjreilly2 Honestly, I had no idea Cillian was even a name. Seeing it spelled with a C makes me want to pronounce it like Sillian, since the letter C followed by the letter I is supposed to make an S sound (city, cigarette, civilized). OP wanted something unique so I was going for the last name as a first name thing (like Carter or Jackson). There happen to be several places in my city named after a man named Daniel Killian (Killian Highschool, Killian Drive).
