My husband and I told everyone we were not finding out ( we did not with out first!) and last weekend we gave a baker a note from the dr and had her make a small cake... Brought it home and had our 2 yo break into it! We had planned a date night after so we had the sitter video it and then the day before Cmas I wrapped up a box of "its a boy balloons" and had our son open it as the last gift of the morning... Everyone was surprised and thrilled and then we all circled around and watched the video of when we found out with the cake. It was so special and we are beyond excited to have two little boys!!
It's a BOY!! We travelled to Texas on Christmas Day to spend the holidays with my in laws. We surprised everyone by bringing along reveal cupcakes, that we ourselves didn't even know the filling color of. Then skyped in my family, and bit into them after Christmas dinner. My DH swore he'd be fine with either, but I knew how much he wanted a boy as our first, and we're over the moon!
Not that girls aren't great too but I think having a boy as your first is so special
I grew up with a "big brother" and he was a real pain in my butt! At every turn he was watching, following, spying on me and even in high school he'd rassle me to the ground if I put any kind of makeup on and he'd wipe it off my face...ugh...I'm glad my daughter is the oldest and won't have to deal with the torture of an older brother!!! Of course, my parents loved every minute of it!

My son is going to have 2 older sisters. I think they will shape him into fine husband material some day.
I love reading all of the these stories!! We had the tech seal the ultrasound in an envelope and I had one of my friends fill a box with the correct color balloons a few days later. We opened up the box (wrapped like a Christmas present) in front of the Christmas tree with all of our friends and family. It was so much fun!

Hahaha I have a younger brother and I'd put him in dresses and torture the living hell out of the poor kid but I was always the one who would scare the gfs or stand up for him on the playground. Either way there are positives and negatives........ I'm just glad I wasn't the youngest [-X
