Plan B : injectables ( follistim )

Quick intro- i am a 31 y/o and have pcos. My husband and I have been together 5 years and married for 2. We started TTC 2012 naturally. Then Aug 2013 went to see a well known RE. I took one round of 50mg Clomid that did not cause ovulation. I took a short break to lose weight (15lbs) and now finished my 4th round of clomid (150mg) and did not ovulate. Now we are to try follistim.
---I'm kind of worried since the clomid 150mg made me really depressed. Worried the injectables will do the same or not work either. Anyone out there use this drug or have any word of wisdom? Thanks for listening :)

    I didn't really notice any side effects on follistim. Injectables were definitely easier on my body and mood than oral medications

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    5 IUIs = BFN

    All AL are welcome

    Welcome. I start injectables soon as well. I hope they work well for you and with less side effects.

    On a treatment break: 2 natural cycles. Saving money, sigh*

    There may be something wrong with me, but I love being in injects (Bravelle)! Some burning while injecting, slight headaches/dizziness (not nearly as bad as Femara), and other than that, just lots of great EWCM (started on CD9 today, wowzers!) and more interest in sex. :D

    Same here  - fewer side effects on Injects versus Clomid & Femara.

    September 2014 DH Repeat SA after being on clomid for 3 months 42 Mil Count, Motility 36%, Morph 2%
    October 2014 Me: Hashimoto's DX, DH taken off clomid;    November 2014 Me: new RE PCOS IR Diagnosis
    December 2014: IUI #4 Follitism 75iu 7 days, TI, IUI & Progesterone, BFMFN
    January 2015: IUI #5     Gonal-F 75iu 7 days, TI, IUI & Progesterone, Another BFMFN onto IUI #6

    Thanks!!! I love all the positive feed back about the injects! I'm on day 4 of 5 of provera so I'll post something when I start the injects to tell you all know how it goes. I hope you all get pregnant for the new year 2015 is ours!! GL XOXO
