i remember us taking about this a while ago... After my pregnancy I developed joint pain in my knees, ankles and feet. It is at its worst in the evening and after I sit or lay down for a while. It takes a while to walk it off. Anyone else still experiencing this??

Re: Joint pain

  • Yep. Knees mostly. Some hip stiffness.

It's going away slowly. Internet research said it's the hormones wearing off and our bodies readjusting after carrying the extra weight from pregnancy. :(

I have had a lot of hip pain and stiffness since PP. I have tried more stretching, drinking lots of water, and am already pretty active. Those help but nothing has taken it away. Had to see OB for a visit at about 6mo pp and she said it can take a full year pp for hormones to level out. I have also had lower back pain which I've never had but think that's due to my core not being as strong...working on that too:)

  • Yes ankles, knees, hips :(
  • I found that when i work out, the pain gets better.
  • I have this too, hips and knees especially. I notice it's worse when I wear her, so I was thinking I really need to lose some weight to decrease the stress on my joints. It didn't occur to me that the hormones are probably still playing a part.
  • Breastfeeding can prolong it too.

    Exercise helps.
  • Exercise does help but I have this too. Especially when I first get up in the morning. For me it's feet, hips and knees. Wahhh, I can't imagine 4 more months of this.
  • Ankles really bad! I had no idea it was still pregnancy related. It's terrible at night.
  • Oh yeah, I forgot to add my feet hurt really bad when I walk after sitting.
