I have to say I really liked Serial and will continue to listen...but I think maybe it was over-hyped? What did you think? In terms of the conclustion: I personally think Jay is guilty of way more than he fessed up to. And I'm inclined to say that Adnan was innocent, but there ARE a few details that make me doubt him. One aspect that the host didn't research, which is driving me nuts: Jay kept saying he was scared of reprisal from Adnan's relatives. But did any of Adnan's relatives have a shady past, any evidence they really would have been a threat to Jay? Shouldn't she have looked into that?
I'll have to watch the skit!
I'm a huge podcast listener in general. My favorites are This American Life, Fresh Air, The Higherside Chats, and Sounds True. I thought I might try "The Gist" as well.
I know what you mean. I think that Jay is guilty in more of the crime that he ever let on---or someone paid him off to lie and have Adnan convicted. So shady. I was so mad at the last episode because I really wanted to have an ending and there wasn't a definitive one.
