I think that a lot of women drink caffeine & eat junk food during their pregnancy without giving a second thought to what it may do to a child. But someone mentions doing something they consider "bad", they suddenly become experts on nutrition. Everyone has different opinions on parenthood and believe in different things.
I always thought that alcohol during pregnancy was a strict no. The comments here and some research I did are very interesting. I'm considering having a small glass every now and then. I would really like to be able to toast New year's eve. To be honest I probably won't let people know besides my boyfriend.
I used to think this too- but consider the fact that they used to drink wine because of poor water quality. I'm actually not much of a wine drinker - so haven't had any. My drink of choice is grey goose and sprite... Now that I CAN'T justify
I have had a few small glasses of wine, never more than 2 in a week and never more than one in an evening. My mother glared at me like I was the devil on Christmas Eve, but other than her, I have not encountered any negative reactions.
