I made a chai latte using Rumchata instead of milk. I feel festive, and like I'm not really drinking since it's hot. I'm predicting a few more, since it's only six o'clock here and my husband and I are both off work for the next two weeks.

I can't drink, but I just ate about 4 extra rich and gooey brownies and dontcurr and would probably eat more if there were more but they're GONE NOW.  So maybe I'll just switch to oreos.

I never understood how heartburn gets worse at the end of pregnancy after baby has dropped...like...you'd think the reduction of pressure pushing things up would help.  No?.  Guess not.

I used to make rum cake for my family all the time when I was in high school, my parents were kind of lax once we hit an certain age. I'd take leftovers in for school lunch and everyone just thought I was eating cake. A friend asked for a bite once, I obliged, she just about spat it across the room.

Last night she was up/are every 3hrs.

Tonight she (seemingly) went right down.

Pray to VL that she stays down and sleeps longer. I can't do every 3hrs again. I just can't.

A local mom's Facebook group that I am in has been getting pretty heated over certain topics lately and several people got hurt over comments made today around the decision released today not to charge a white police officer in a shooting death of an unarmed black man earlier in the year in Milwaukee.

That part was not funny, but in discussing the recent dynamics of the group, someone said "It's turning into a nasty chat room like the bump or something." The next person said "Oh, the bump...ouch." I find this amusing because despite the sarcasm and snark here, I find the group as a whole here much much less judgemental and better educated/informed than this local group.

I met hubby at the tail end of a miserable relationship. I was done dating and just going to enjoy life for a while- I was leaving for a semester in Europe in 4months.
But I applied for a job and hubby took my resume.
That night (through mutual friends) we ended up getting drunk together. And he spent the night on my couch.




















With me.
We've been together ever since.

If you think the toddler will notice that the baby is not getting as many presents you could just wrap up some essentials. DS was 3.5 for DD'S first Christmas and I thought he might notice so I wrapped up some new sippy cups and several items of clothing I had bought on clearance at Old Navy. She maybe got 1 or 2 small toys. He was busy enough with his stuff to not really care what she got, but there was enough stuff there for him to see that Santa brought the baby stuff too.
