Re: Pre 10/1 Weekly Check-In

  • -Age: 12Weeks 2Days

-Sleeping: Taking a few naps through the day and sleeping almost 4hrs between feedings at night

-Eating: Eating 5 1/2 oz, but starting to spit a little when burping...which maybe is normal...

-Milestones: Smiling more! We're also getting a few more coos

-Questions: Is this normal?! This is always my question lol Basing life on adjusted age is rough!

-Working On: Holding head up & better burping techniques. He never wants to burp and can get pretty fussy at times as a result. He also hates tummy time so...we're working on it all :)

-AW: I love that I don't have to tickle his chin anymore to get him to smile, rather, I can now just talk to him and he smiles at mommy when he hears my voice :)

  • Age: 16 Weeks adjusted to 6
Sleeping: They've been waking every 4 hours at night with occasional longer stretches... We had a 5.5 hour stretch the other night and it was awesome! ::fingers crossed:: that continues :D
Eating: my DS is taking 4-5+ and my DD is taking 3.5-4+
Milestones: getting some smiles and some coos! They're doing really well with tracking - they'll follow me as I walk across the room :D
Questions: do you guys refer to you LOs actual age or adjusted age when people ask how old they are? When I say they're actual age people comment on how small they are (they're not - my son is almost 13lbs and my daughter is right behind) and I have to explain that they were born 10 weeks early...
Working On: tummy time... But more importantly turning their heads to the right. They both REALLY favor looking to the left and my DD has developed a good flat spot because of it -_-
AW: I'm loving that my LOs are responding to me more than others - I feel like I'm being totally selfish/brat but after them being cared for in the NICU for so long by other people I was afraid I was a stranger to them- so I'm loving when they respond to me more than others :)
